Digital Season Ticket Advice at Boro

Sorted it.

It is pretty poor that the guidance is on one side of the site and your account where you do it from is on the other.

Surely there should be a simple 'transfer ticket' under your ST tab? With a help button with step-by-steps?
I was wrong, I haven't sorted it as even though I have selected it the club haven't mailed the paper version out, so my 77 year old dad and ASD son are having to go to the ticket office tomorrow.

My digital ticket has updated to Portsmouth, but my son's still syays Swansea. His didn't work last week so we had to leave the turnstiles and queue up at the ticket office. We are both on iPhone and both of our wallets are set up the same.

Should they all update at the same time?

I'm beyond annoyed at the club for how un-user friendly the site is, the fact there's next to no confirmarion of anything etc.

It seems to be solving a problem nobody has asked to be solved, there isn't a single tangible benefit I can see for a match goer over a plastic card that worked absolutely fine.

If we are to have about the most expensive tickets in the league, the least they could do is ensure the back end stuff is all in place and works seemlessly.

Try opening the pass in the wallet , go on the 3 dots top right, click notifications and then turn off and on the automatic notifications.

I'd ask them to give you plastic cards. They claim to still do that if you want them.

For the Heerenveen friendly I had to get a digital ticket to avoid the booking fee. Took me about 10 attempts to get it to work. The card just works.
I’ve been trying to do the same for Tuesday night to avoid the booking fee but each time I go to check out the fee gets added anyway. Whether that’s because they’re intentionally charging one this time or because of my operator error or a website glitch I’m past the “shove it up your @rse then” stage now.

And I’m kindly disposed to the idea. I find the digital ST convenient and it’s worked fine so far for league games. If you can put someone who’s starting from there off, how many other potential customers are you alienating.

Some friends of ours have moved seats recently and moved onto digital ticketing.

Tapped the first kid in yesterday, green light.

Went to do the other 3, none worked.

Steward advised they needed to go to the North Stand ticket office, at 14:30 when the queue was huge.

After some frank conversations with the steward they let them in as they had a young child in there on their own. As they were doing this another parent approached the steward to say his child was in on their own after his digital ticket was declined, the advise again was “go to the North stand ticket office”. Again after some dialogue they let him in.

It’s really not good enough and a safe guarding issue. “Go to the north stand ticket office” isn’t good enough, there never seemed to half be these problems with tickets and cards that simply worked.

In fairness, in the early days of cards, there was no end of people complaining about them not working and/or having issues.

Personally I’ve had no issues with digital card and now this season with forwarding either (which I did for Swansea match) and find it much more convenient, but appreciate the club can’t just make people stand in queues if their own system fails them.

Are the physical cards still being used for the new season (25/26), or are they only digital now? Do you have to state when buying what your preference is (new applicant)

My digital card has already been updated for next season. Everyone has their own preferences but for me, the big advantage is this simple piece of maths.

Percentage of times I would leave my phone at home = 0%
Percentage of times I would let my phone battery run down to zero without noticing = 0.005%
Percentage of times my physical card would fall out of my wallet or hand without me noticing 1%
Percentage of times I would forget to put my physical card in my wallet = 2%
It did have its problems at first, especially syncing my account to the bar scanner, but all seems good now. It even updates punctually, often without me needing to refresh.
First game of the season is obviously the acid test, the only time I had to go to the North Stand ticket office was the first game of the season against Bristol City, and that was when I had a physical card.

The main reason I’d want to have the physical cards is for the games i miss, i could pass it to a friend to use. But i reckon id possibly miss 5 games, maybe more if sky pull the usual trick. So if i attend 18 games only at £620 minimum for a ST, then it would be cheaper to just pick and choose my games i can and want to attend as walk up prices are on par.

Physical. I'm changing seats and was told to call the ticket office when I get offered the digital. Last season I got a digital for a pre-season friendly and it was a nightmare. Took me about 10 attempts for it to work.

Anybody else digital season card not updated with the Swansea game yet, I have automatic updates on but it hasn’t updated but my wife’s card does show Swansea….
