Assombalonga going?

Britt has scored 44 goals in 139 games for Middlesbrough FC
He's IS a 1 in 3 merchant !!!!! Stop trying to spin your negativity......
He is a 12-14 goals a season striker. He will be dropped every season for spells due to poor form, and he will only really score against the poor sides. given that he doesn't play around 8 games and scores in about 10-12 games, that leaves around 26 games where he doesn't score or create, or really do anything of note. Unless he can offer something else (he can't) in those 26 games, we are going to struggle to win them. That is the Britt conundrum. I'd give up on him.

I haven't gone yet...

If he was on a long contract now what figure could we sell him for ?
i think this what we need to think about . I think £7m ish is where we’re at . Then who could we sign for up to £7m ? Woodrow is probably around that .
We would be lucky to get anything at all for him. He's free in 6 months.

Britt is the only goal scorer at the club. If he goes he will need a replacement, Warnock, as we now know - isn’t daft.

He's got 4 goals this season and 12 goals in his last 50.....lets drop this he is our only goalscorer nonsense.

Fletcher has got 15 in his last 50 games.
Akpom 11 in 50

On this seasons form, Akpom, Watmore, Saville, Johnson, and maybe Tav will probably finish with more goals than Britt

If stats are your thing, I’d suggest its not nonsense.

Britt: Games 350 / Goals 141
Akpom: 195/35
Fletcher: 162/39
Watmore: 163/29

Shearer once got two league goals in a season and nobody said Ketsbia was any better because he scored more. He’s our only recognised goal scorer, will need replacement.

And actually add more to the overall team performance. It's the apparent lack of effort for most games and consistently, falling down, poor passing choices etc that frustrate.
Would love to see more of what he did a few games ago & I hope we do...

Means nada past a certain time/number of seasons.
How has he played this season

Ketsbia? Wow, now there’s a name I haven’t heard in an age!

Wasn’t he the baldy fella? Occasionally kicked advertising hoardings in his celebration ‘routines’? Or am I confusing him with another Skunk from yesteryear?

When we paid £15 Mill to Forest for Britt he was a 1 in 3 striker
He's a 1 in 3 striker for Boro... what did you expect ?

PS Next time I go out for a meal you can pay Hahaha
He wasn’t though, he was coming back from injury and in the games he’d played he had looked awful, we paid the fee based on his pre injury performances when he looked a lot better and was a a much more athletic striker. Not his fault at all but we never got what we thought we’d paid for.

With the exception of a single league one season before he lost his pace he’s a 15 goal a season striker.
