Assombalonga going?

That's the thing though isn't it...

The usual moaners on this board just say everything's rubbish, we're back to Britt today as the target !

I ask who we should get instead given the financial situation we find ourselves in and you say 'Not Sure'

Its laughable tbh !!!!!
Hahaha
Target is a little harsh. I just think that some, myself included, would like to see a little more .
He's going to be on top £ and if there's a chance we could get something similar ish for less£ , why not?
Arsenal had to take a loan of over £100m. Times are tight.

So Nobby if you don’t do your job as well as 3 years ago, are less productive what relevance does that have today? I put it to you not a lot it is all about the present. Equally Britts pitiful return - 4 in 21- is representative of his work . A 1 in 5 merchant. So don’t tell me what he did in the past, it is what he is doing currently - which isn’t much. Not negative just fact Nobby
Well I could argue he's been injured and used in rotation with Akpom. His record with MFC is 1 goal every 3 games !
Timo Werner has only scored 4 goals this season, same as Britt, you saying Chelsea should get rid of him ?
I'll ask you the same question. You want rid of Britt, we have no money to spend, who are you going to replace him with ?????????

I don't know but that's not the point. I'm just trying to think of a possible rationale .
You 'Don't know'.....
Hahaha
Its not his fault he was given a massive contact, he is still a 1 in 3 striker.
...and that mostly playing up front on his own in a team that doesn't create many chances or score goals.

If he was on a long contract now what figure could we sell him for ?
i think this what we need to think about . I think £7m ish is where we’re at . Then who could we sign for up to £7m ? Woodrow is probably around that .

We don't have any money, we won't be spending anything though.

£20k per week for 5 years is £5m
£2m Transfer fee to Boro.
£375k signing on fee to bridge wages for 6 months.
That's £7.5m not £5.5m newy - even if your own estimates were right.

He is a pudding and simply not worth anything like that.
If we get a fee for him I will be delighted in more ways than one.
I mean.. if you don’t want me to put the deal together..

Works out at £1.474m a year for Bristol City for a player we were willing to invest £6.829m a year for in 2017 striker 28yo to 33yo with a canny resale value.

No, I don't know, not my job to review the thousands of football players in the world.

I think people are too hung up on Britt's transfer fee and salary.
It was the going rate at the time.
When you go to a decent restaurant you want decent food. Let me know when you've paid for a decent night out and it wasn't what you expected.
I'll just tell you that you were hung-up on the cost...

Will this be the first time ever we’ll have got our Ass out without being summarily reamed regarding cash value by another club ?
