I think that our opponents Middlesex are possibly just in a better position than Yorkshire, but I still fancy us to get promotion from this position.

Thier current stand is very useful, but they have slowed a bit with the spinner coming on - they have to match our 350+ as a minimum.

Yorkshire got such a heavy punishment because they did their own investigation and refused to release it in full saying no evidence of any racist behaviour. If they had held their hands up and not tried to hide results then it would have been better for them.

The points deduction had no effect on them as they wouldn't have gone up last year even with the points back.

Since Yorkshire was made an example of, I believe quite a few indiscretions by other counties have come to light.
But, let’s not be vindictive, be generous , move on and win this promotion.
