Yorkshire (3rd in Div 2) are playing top team Sussex and are way on top in 2nd day of 4.

Looks like the Tykes could be back among the big lads next season.

Very bad forecast for today (Saturday) but as you said Grumpy , Sunday is fair, so we have a chance of getting a result.

Enjoyed it yesterday but left just before 5 to get the 5-48 train back so missed the last 80 or so runs which must’ve been exciting
Beer (Anglers IPA?) decent and only a fiver a pint which is good value in a sports arena

Haven’t actually seen Yorkshire live since they used to play the odd game at Acklam Park on Green Lane.
Even then I think we actually spent a lot of time over 3 days or so in the club bar, although we did pop outside to see the cricket fairly often.

Looks pretty good this game and Bairstow did ok but why is he not playing at Headingley v Middlesex?

If he is saying he wants a rest then that is very poor from him. See also Rashid and Malan who wont play any red ball cricket for Yorkshire

On the Yorkshire cricket forum was where I first read it. Been let slip by Gibson in him saying that he is doing his best to convince him to play against Middlesex. That was from his social media releases in the run up to Sussex game.
