Woodgate Sacked, Warnock in

Just look at that team sheet on Saturday.

The bloke was grossly incompetent and should never, ever have got the job.

Absolutely correct. Woodgate doesn't deserve any sympathy. He got the job based on a style of football he couldn't create, brought in players who weren't good enough, came across badly in press conferences and has made the team shocking.

Really wanted Woodgate to succeed , but he has been given a fair chance. Has had no money and inherited a disinterested and in some cases talentless squad. Don't hold much hope for him being employed as a manager in the future anywhere else. Must be feeling physically sick today.

Just need to stay up now. And build on that for next season

Exactly.

Made promises he knew he couldn’t deliver, then tried to tell us the league table was lying when it all went inevitably wrong.

Thank you Woody you tried your best you put your heart and soul into the job and you clearly loved the club. But even you must now admit you were not up to the job.
Has Warnock got enough time to guide is to safety I sincerely hope so. There are some good players at the club hopefully Warnock can gel them into a team starting at Stoke on Saturday

If offered a position, I wonder if Woodgate is big enough to stay on and "learn" from Warnock - I'm not Colin's greatest fan, but as said above, he's a real football man and knows the game in side out

I'd be surprised if NW wants the ex manager around, I think he'd see it as a distraction for the players.

Cant think of any manager ever anywhere being dismissed and staying on. Wood won't be the first.

Robson wasn't dismissed Venables came in to 'help'

Neil Warnock
Colin Wa*%er

I'll let you figure out the last 2 letters. I believe it was Sean Beans nickname for him at Sheff Utd, although I doubt he invented it.
Wednesday fans coined it when he was at Utd . He laughs about it and says he gets a lot worse

We need to move on from thinking like this, or Gibson does anyway.

It ain’t going to be pretty as any manager will tell you the first thing they do is NOT concede . That team on Saturday looked like they didn’t know each other’s names .

That team sheet made me angry I’ve never seen anything like it, it was basically a white flag

I love my football club, not its manager. If the manager happens to become a likeable person through his achievements, so much the better. I found Woodgate a person who was difficult to like, through his team selections, his interviews and his footballing philosophy. Much as I disliked Strachan and Monk for the same reasons.

Woodgate gets what he deserves. He's been given a gilt-edged chance at his hometown club, and he's blown it. Feel sorry for him? Not a chance
Nobody is enjoying his demise but Don’t forget he gets his ( likely substantial ) wage paid up .
