Archer at £12.5m wouldn't be a risk as such neither.

£12.5m is a huge amount of money - but we know he's Championship proven and can score goals for any team in this league.

If we didn't gain promotion, I'm pretty confident we would be able to recoup most (if not all) of that money back.

And if we did gain promotion, then we'd be giving him a great chance in the PL for him to get a chance that he's always wanted...and if then we got relegated, we'd have a cash cow available....or even better, we'd have a proven striker to try bounce back.

Archer at £12.5m wouldn't be bad business...assuming he'd be tied down on a 4+ year deal.

He was much older.

Will Forss be sold? I can see it happening

why? apart from message board I have seen zero reports on him been unhappy or other clubs sniffing. had a poor injruy hit season but looked useful when he plays.

We've averaged a £12.5m outlay across the last 3 seasons and have a much better FFP position.
What sauce would you like for that hat?

Not so sure on that - last season was the only one I can see we came vaguely close to £16m outlay in total (Morris expected to be around 3.5m I think?)

Given the other positions we're likely to strengthen I think it's a huge risk to gamble the majority of our budget in a position we're not actually undercooked.

Could definitely get on board with Archer if we sold ELL though.
