Bauser to get the old Spanish Archer ?
Sounds a great buyI wouldn’t be surprised to see Ben Gibson return, he’s dropped a few clangers for Norwich and they might want rid.
Sadly he peaked as a player 3 or so years agoI wouldn’t want Ben Gibson tbh… Only things going for him are that he’s left footed and local.
Not a great defender and not great stepping out with the ball
I would be very underwhelmed too but as you say he’s left footed and he would be an ‘attitude over ability’ signing. But no, not for me.I wouldn’t want Ben Gibson tbh… Only things going for him are that he’s left footed and local.

Sign strikers and a goalkeeper, the core of the rest of the core starting 11 is fine.
We may have to sell Tavernier if he only has a year left on his contract, but we shouldn't be selling the likes of Jones and Fry unless our finances absolutely demand it.
I think the issue with Fry is i am not sure he’s really excelled this season to much, and if there is interest there could be a chance to get a decent fee and replace him with someone a bit stronger and invest other areas of the squad. There is a hell of a lot of work to do.Some posters really want us to start again completely.
It’s all well and good saying stuff like sell Fry/McNair/Jones if we get a good offer, what happens if after that opposition clubs all of a sudden start demanding 2/3x the original fee for one of our targets, or said targets move somewhere else and we are stuck with players way down our list.
We should be looking to bring players in first if we can and then look at cashing in if they are no longer required.
Gibson's on the bench for Norwich today and they're still getting tonked 4 nil at homeI would be very underwhelmed too but as you say he’s left footed and he would be an ‘attitude over ability’ signing. But no, not for me.
They are a joke of a team at Prem level. I hope they don’t get promoted next season, waste of a spot.Gibson's on the bench for Norwich today and they're still getting tonked 4 nil at home
You know I'd be happy with Gibson back. Sign Bamba back on for another year as cover/cup runs and coach. He could teach Ben a few things in the dark arts of defending.I would be very underwhelmed too but as you say he’s left footed and he would be an ‘attitude over ability’ signing. But no, not for me.
I have watched Gibson a lot this season and i know it’s a division above but some of his defending has been a joke. When he was at Boro he looked ‘solid’ if not spectacular but he doesn’t seem to have that any more and I’m not sure what else he would bring to the table apart from having a left foot and being passionate about the club. Not sure it’s quite enough to sign him in my opinion. Agree with the second part of the post, definetly need some youthful signings and players who can press and runYou know I'd be happy with Gibson back. On another note, Wilder likes to play a pressing game right? Well we definitely need more youth signings, who will run through brick walls for the team. The likes of Peltier, Taylor for example simply don't have the legs to do that anymore.
What makes you think that anything said here means that work isn’t needed to recruit replacements? Nobody thinks that and the two will go hand in hand surely? Indeed, CW has said that the process of bringing in new players is already underwaySome posters really want us to start again completely.

It’s tge clubs business plan , not a an exciting one but I think owners focus on the clubs health financially over footballing gloryThey are a joke of a team at Prem level. I hope they don’t get promoted next season, waste of a spot.
Exactly what I thought he meant. When wilder said a couple abroad will be dealt with i presumed chuba and stojanovic. Those two on holiday i guessed fisher and ameobi...who knows, wait till mondays meeting
I know, that’s what makes it worse and why I certainly don’t want them to keep going up. Like I say, waste of a spot. It’s tge clubs business plan , not a an exciting one but I think owners focus on the clubs health financially over footballing glory
Correct - and apologies, they finished 4th bottom.Reading haven't been relegated.
