The BBC are saying Wigan's hearing is on the 31st.
What month?
On BBC website now , the appeal is that neither the EFL or the old owners knew the new Hong Kong owners were going to place the club into administration , so therefore the club should not be punished .
Seems a very strange defence , surely its their club now .
That is an awful, token defence.
1st Jan 1988 was the coldest I've been at Boundary Park for a 3-1 defeat.Oldham Boundary Park early February 1983 was quite possibly the coldest match on record. I think it touched -52 with the wind chill factor. Monkeys balls were snapping off on the away end terrace. We lost 3-0 as well.
Wasn’t it pouring down as well on the open terrace? Plastic pitch as well if I remember correctly.1st Jan 1988 was the coldest I've been at Boundary Park for a 3-1 defeat.
Honourable mention to Bet 365 stadium at Stoke - **** me its cold there.
Yep, there was a lake outside the away area.Wasn’t it pouring down as well on the open terrace? Plastic pitch as well if I remember correctly.
I was at that game, if I remember correctly at the top of the away end to stand in the terrace there was an iron swing gate, fans had to put there feet on the gate to swing across to get over a massive puddle1st Jan 1988 was the coldest I've been at Boundary Park for a 3-1 defeat.

We never won a match on NYD in my time while playing at AP
No that was the 2nd JanuaryDidn’t we beat Man Utd 1-0 when Mark Brennan had an absolute stormer against Bryan Robson? Or was that a Boxing Day?

Without checking I'm sure Man Utd played Liverpool on NYD with Liverpool winning 3-1, we drew away to Norwich 0-0 on NYE, which I went toAh. Presumably New Years Day fell on a Sunday. I remember 1-0 flattered them. Only time I’ve ever seen Bryan Robson dominated by another midfielder. Even against Liverpool and Souness you’d never say either ‘dominated’ the other.
But the best pies I've ever tasted at a football ground, or maybe the Alan Kernaghan hat trick made them taste nicerI'd second the Ewood nomination for coldest ground (just marginally beating the Antarctica Penguin All Stars Select XI ground the 'Frosty-Dome' ).
Ewood is like a bloody wind tunnel, many a game I've spent shivering in the stand there, clutching a hot coffee like a life raft in a storm.
