Wigan and Sheff Wed to be deducted points next season

Give them a points deduction now and if they are relegated give them a 12 point head start next season if the appeal is successful.
I don't get that, if they're successful but it's too late they will have been relegated & even with plus 12 points doesn't mean they'll get promoted, or am I missing something here

TBH, I'm not to fussed about Wigan, the other teams are the main issue, we were financially hit in 86 so I have sympathy for Wigan but the other teams cheated from the off & should be penalised

It says on the BBC football site about Wigan
'' We are not out of the woods yet," said Krasner, adding that he was "optimistic" the club would pay outstanding creditors enough to avoid a 15-point deduction next season''
I'm looking at it as though it could happen next season
That would be a second penalty (not a withheld first penalty) and if he is worried about that, then that is effectively confirming that he thinks the 12 point penalty will stand

1st Jan 1988 was the coldest I've been at Boundary Park for a 3-1 defeat.
Honourable mention to Bet 365 stadium at Stoke - **** me its cold there.

Lashed it down all day, massive puddle on the entrance to the away terrace, no roof - and we were absolutely *****.

Wed had a great run up until Xmas, think we got beat 3 days before away at Leeds when Ripley and Batty got red carded.
