Who is a viable candidate for PM?

I think it'll be Penny Mordaunt or Ben Wallace, the Tories will see either of them as a war time PM so they can lean into the whole "do they know there is a war on" angle.
 
YouGov polling of Conservative Party members suggest Ben Wallace is the party favourite to replace the clown.

Isn't Ben a staunch Remainer?
 
Ben Wallace is/was a Remainer but he'll have a strong chance, I've put a bet on him y'day at 7-1...3-1 now, which is too short I reckon.
 
I’m torn, because half of me wants Truss, because I think the opposition would be able to go on holiday for the next year or two and still destroy her in a general election.
The other half of me is desperate for some competence to guide the country through the current crises, and to that end I think Javid or, gulp, Hunt, would be preferable.
I don’t know much about Penny Mordant but she’s isolated herself from all the mess pretty well.
 
Though he isn't in the running Tobias Ellwood seems like he has his head screwed on. Last month suggested rejoining the single market on some sort of Norway model as the current Brexit model is fkd, but of course got shouted down by most in his own party.
Ellwood also ran out to help the policeman who was stabbed in that Westminster knife attack a few years back, when everyone else was running the other way. I think he is ex-army.

Sounds sensible as he might be better places to sort Brexit out with a softer touch.

But he's another one against same sex marriage and was absent on the NI abortion votes.

That’s not a bad shout. Slim pickings to try and find ANY endearing features or one ounce of decency.

Unfortunately the same folks that picked BJ will be choosing his successor..

Bridgen on Ch4 News saying the unions need to brought to heel as we can't afford wage rise driven inflation. He also said he wants tax cuts from the new PM.
So no wage rises, a bit off your tax and that will keep the plebs happy while the wealth gap grows.

Ben Wallace should be favourite like

If he is pm, I’m not as convinced Labour would win the next election .

Plus it would massively **** Russia off , so that’s even more reason to have him take over
