I do think we are partly benefiting from local politics (each city/State makes its own decision)......public schools here have been closed since last March and teachers are refusing to come back, saying it's not safe. Considering we've been open since last August without a single case of community transmission on campus I'd say we are not as high a risk as we first thought, the authorities know this but teaching unions are having none of it, hence the high priority for education workers in Chicago.Interesting that you have teachers high up the list.
We are told here that they are not particularly likely to get infected compared to other groups in society.
I'll sleep a lot better once I know all my staff are vaccinated mind!
