But The Offing is a wonderful book and I would also recommend it. Having spent a few summer's days and winter's days doing archaeology on the moors above "Bay" I love reading this charming story set where the folds of the moors come within sight of that sweeping bay.
Brilliant author - he's written a series of detective books set in France (the Enzo McLeod books) and a series set in Lewis in the Hebrides - both highly recommendedI found an author called Peter May
