We fell off a cliff after Burnley the respect had gone in the dressing room please keep upIf the recruitment team and management team are not in sync you fail. It’s clear Wilder set out what he wanted and those in charge missed by a mile.
You decide where the blame lays?
Drury tonightFrom who?
You mean he already knows the Burnley owners and thinks he could work well with them? A bit odd when he said we were a good fit for him. Obviously not as good a fit as we thought!I couldn’t understand it it with but then I saw this about ALK
It’s not about Burnley it’s about their new owners ALK snd the fact they also tried to to buy sheff u that is where this link is coming from.
No apparently they sold him some vision at Sheffield snd he really bought it.You mean he already knows the Burnley owners and thinks he could work well with them? A bit odd when he said we were a good fit for him. Obviously not as good a fit as we thought!
There was interest in both sides in the Burnley job.
Direct quote.
Most of us knew it had to be true it but the usual sychofants on here tried to drown it out with Chris the best thing sliced bread spin.
The whole ALK thing and his like warm response spoke volumes. Then the club are at fault for letting the situation carry on.
It’s really not the fault of the fans for believing the club/manager and backing them, when dealing with a load of rumour and gossip which 9 times out of 10 turns out to be complete bolloxx.
If a manager is sniffing around another club a few months into the job, you get rid. You don’t try to persevere and see if things will work out.
What’s to say Drury is right? I’m sure he does know more about what’s going on than most of us but he could also just have read the gossip and be talking now as if it’s fact.
If he was in the know and is subtly spilling some beans, then he’s made the club look like a bunch of rank amateurs for sticking by Wilder, and I doubt they’ll be happy about that.
Was there any need for that reply when I was only asking a questionYou know the man who covers the club for a living
Sorry but I hope those who refused to accept it as a possibility now may realise that the concern was justified. Was there any need for that reply when I was only asking a question
I'm sure you'll hoof some comments to show them the lightSorry but I hope those who refused to accept it as a possibility now may realise that the concern was justified.
Yes it’s on bbc sounds 6pm showAnywhere I can catch up on what Drury had to say? Will it be in BBC Sounds?
Hed been here less than 6 months and he courted Burnleys interest. That's down right disrespectful to the fans, club, chairman and the players. The players were never the same after he did it. Chris wilder is a mercenary cúntI'm not sure I agree re: the Burnley thing. Yes, we think "clear the air" talks were held but presumably Wilder agreed that he would wind it in going forward. If he'd openly suggested he's going to go after every available job, do we think he would lasted until the end of the meeting?
There is always a risk that managers will be looking for their next move, it's natural and a very good reason why contracts are in place between manager and club.
Do we really think he would have been sacked today for "looking elsewhere" if we were sat 3rd currently?
Just listening to tonight’s Tees show now. They said they approached the club for an interview/comments but nobody was available.Yes it’s on bbc sounds 6pm show

Of course not, but if he hadn't shown interest in the Burnley job then I'm absolutely sure he still have a little more time here.Do we really think he would have been sacked today for "looking elsewhere" if we were sat 3rd currently?
Which player or manager isn't? It's a career like any other, I'm sure we'd all be interested if another employer in our chosen industry came along offering better prospects and more money?Hed been here less than 6 months and he courted Burnleys interest.
