Sounds as bad as Mowbray's "it is what it is" quote years ago.
I think it's a subtle nod to upstairs and the unbalanced squad at his disposal
I don't think he did "assemble the squad". I think he had some input (e.g. Crooks) but I don't think he had anything to do with Payero (for example). He knows this is a transition year and we make the best out of it we can. Unless we look in serious danger of going down he will complete the year and hand on to the new team.
Agree we needed another holding midfielder to take it to a grand total of one. It’s not unbalanced we just could of done with an extra full back and probably another holding midfielder. He can’t come out with ***** like that
I honestly think Gibbo will stick with NW, we don't know what's going on behind closed doors, the bloke from Norwich could be getting in the players with NW & assisting Gibbo in scouting the next incoming manager
Probably miles off, we'll find out over the next few weeks if results don't improve
I'm not saying things will improve, they most likely won't, we would have seen evidence on the pitch, I'm just saying Gibbo & NW could be grooming the next incoming manager, as Lennie did with Robbo, I could be miles off, I just can't see Gibbo sacking NW, again my opinionCan’t see any good in sticking with Warnock. It’s shockingly bad at the moment.

He has adapted the style of play even from last season when we more organised but played less football. If they're not his players (and they well may be?) He needs to adapt his style of play to the players at his disposal.
Finally some sanity in this thread, the weaknesses have been found outHe has adapted the style of play even from last season when we more organised but played less football.
The manager can only do so much with the players he's got. Imagine how successful karanka would have been for us if he had no leadbitter or Clayton as holding midfielders but howson and mcnair or howson and jls as his only holding options. It wouldn't have worked. He can't turn water into wine and turn a 32 year old Johnny howson into a defensive mid that's never been his game and we have no other options there. So the question has to then be asked why was no replacement for morsey or even Saville signed. I don't believe for an instant he would have said its OK Steve Johnny can play there all season by himself we don't need anybody. The players we have signed on the whole I am extremely positive about but the recruitment team dropped an almighty ******* by not replacing morsey and loaning spence
