Cleverly would’ve won over Labour voters with his lies and charisma.Well he though? He stole Tory vote by harassing the bigoted fascist crowd. These two scumbags will likely win them back? They won't win any voters from Labour or any humans
I'd say there is zero chance that either Jenrick or Badenoch will be contesting the next election as Tory leader.Cleverly would’ve won over Labour voters with his lies and charisma.
Thankfully he is not now.
They will win a few bigoted labour voters who think migrants is the cause of the problems in this country.
It isn’t of course.
Those two are just going to be temporary leaders as someone else just said because the country surely won’t vote in a hard right bunch of tories will they ?
Yes. Get rid of some tory no-mark from a safe seat and parachute Johnson in? That would surely help???I'd sat there is zero chance that either Jenrick or Badenoch will be contesting the next election as Tory leader.
And that level of poor strategic thinking is exactly why he doesn’t deserve to lead a major uk party
Once the members (apt really) have crowned their next King or Queen, I think it will be Badenoch personally, I am feeling certain that Johnson will start schmoozing behind the scenes with a glass in one hand and a dagger in his other. He will contest a guaranteed by election victory and slowly worm his way to leader before the end of 2028 ready to try then to garner support of the eejits in the communities across the UK who will fall for his lies all over again. They will see him as their lord and saviour in waiting, god help us.I'd say there is zero chance that either Jenrick or Badenoch will be contesting the next election as Tory leader.
What a wonderful choice of words from the ‘Secret Barrister’ about this so called ’Party’
That is sadly a naive way of looking at things. You underestimate the public being taken for fools. Labours huge majority (much like the tories of 2019) was built on a foundation of quicksand and a back swing is not just a golf stroke.The only "electable" candidate was Cleverly. Really not fussed which little goosestepper they go with, neither of them is likely to pull votes from Labour or Liberals in the short to medium term but will fight for the votes of the RWNJs with Reform Ltd.
I guess that they probably expect to lose the next election so whoever gets in is just a place holder.

I certainly wouldn't rule out them installing a more "charismatic" candidate before the next election. If they do all bets are off.That is sadly a naive way of looking at things. 100% agree….with all of this.I certainly wouldn't rule out them installing a more "charismatic" candidate before the next election. If they do all bets are off.
But Badenoch and Jenrick aren't worrying anyone. Not only are they stupid and vile individuals, neither possess an ounce of charm or charisma.
Good job the tories took their time in selecting a new leader to make sure they got it right
Electable doesn't mean you agree with him. He was more electable than the other two by far because he didn't seem like a fruit loop. Those positions of his are obviously not left wing ideals so if you are a left winger you would not want them but there are plenty of people who share that sort of ideology and that is who votes for the Tories.Cleverly; You say electable but let’s look at his position on how to deal with the country’s problems;
This was his pitch;
Lower taxes
SMALLER STATE
Higher military spending
Free & safe society
What this really means;
- Lower taxes (where the wealthy people really benefit)
- SMALLER STATE (squeeze & defund our nhs, council services, care services, and other public services critical to a functioning & calm society)
- Higher military spending (money we don’t have and need to spend on the desperate public services first)
- Free & safe society (free society is code for Tory bonfire on regulations that keep us fcuking safe - like building regulations that protect residents from being exposed to dangerous companies putting cladding on as Tories turn the other way )
The thing is here, even cleverly, supposedly ‘electable’ but these Tories will destroy our society with their ideology (stupidity, elitism and greed)
They have learnt nothing about people in this country and what they care about - things working for them like the water industry not pumping $hit into our seas and rivers…or the trains working or getting enough doctors so we can get appointments.
They don’t care about the ordinary people. If they did, they’d listen properly.
That’s why I think they are traitors of this country; real traitors of ordinary citizens who need certain rights and services for their taxes to live a decent existence.
Cleverly: as dangerous as the next Tory.
