Tories Existential Crisis looming

I genuinely can’t understand how anyone can assess the situation objectively and conclude voting Tory is best. They have been a total disaster for 14 years. Not one thing has been improved. In fact, they have deliberately made civic society worse. It’s astounding anyone would think differently to that.

And you still have time to post on here….😉
I was on my lunch break as I am now

My manager has just approved two days holiday for a long weekend to see Thievery Corporation in Amsterdam in June.

I'm waiting to see if he'll approve the 23rd to 31st December also. I haven't had the X-mas period off since starting this job 6 years ago

Some folk have been scared away from voting for Labour. I can’t understand it myself as the surely lived through the Blair years when the country was pretty damn good. But I suppose the Tories blaming Labour for the global financial crash didn’t help. Some lapped it up.

Agree. Cameron lied and span the banking crises for political gain. Talk of maxing out credit cards, all Labour’s fault and repeat. It primes people and the more they see it in a complicit media, they believe it.

The credit card rhetoric has been used time and time again by the Tories to dupe the public into support for austerity. It’s shameful. It’s also pretty shameful that a lot of the public don’t understand it’s all rubbish.

Starmer used the same metaphor last week. It isn't just a Tory problem.

Much like the banking crisis and "no money left" note, Labour need to take some responsibility for educating the public.

The union interference in the miliband leadership contest p1ssed a lot of people off as well. A massive own goal going against the public opinion to push Ed. Lost a fair chunk of trust.

I’m not saying David would have been better, the public clearly thought he would have been, however charisma plays a huge part of public opinion on leaders, David had some Ed had none.

that would have been a great consolation to both the Chagos Islanders and the victims of extraordinary rendition

Agree with that too. Labour shot themselves in the foot with that one. David Milliband was without doubt the best option. One the neoliberal media and their billionaire backers could have compromised with.

They're already paying him $1,000,000 a year to run a charity

I said they could be as bad nobody can be sure if you believe everything will be rosy once they get in then you are living in la la land.
