I'd agree but think it's main driver is to promote the women's game.I'm in the grumpy camp. It's a waste of time and money, a desperate attempt to appeal to those who can't even maintain concentration for a T20.
My priorities are in exactly reverse order to yours (Not that you stated your priority)I support England, Yorkshire and Boro so it's difficult to raise much enthusiasm for new sides with cricketers seemingly just put in a hat and playing for the highest bidder, but I suppose it'll catch on.
Please don't bring that up ;) :(We had “the six” within a 50 ODI in 2019 CWC Final.
One-time Boro target when Jack Charlton was manager supposedly.A bit of trivia. Manchester Originals Kate Cross is the daughter of David Cross, who played for West Ham in the 1980 FA Cup Final.
The Hundred is cricket for those who don't like or understand cricket.
It was terrible..stop ruining cricket - test/county championship , one days and T20..those 3 are all we need.
Couldn’t agree more. Enjoyed watching it this eveningIt wasn’t that bad.
It’s just a t20 tournament with a few tweaks condensed into a few weeks, with razzmatazz. To get the attention people who aren’t normally into cricket. And put the women on equal parity with men.
I’ll probably watch it over the next few weeks - much more preferable To watching the Olympics on TV at 3am in an empty venue…

Yes they were far too busy and that pink was strobing. Trying to jazz it up too much.My only gripe was the awful TV graphics.
I put TMS on during the interval and Jonathan Agnew was moaning about the same…
I don't understand how. If you don't understand 6 balls in an over then what difference is 5 or 10? Not significantly shorter than T20 either. And that my friend is the entire point. It gets people into cricket who wouldn’t normally be interested in it
