The end?

I think military coup is the only way it will happen. The road closures in Moscow are for the celebratory parades. Can't see a coup happening today with all that going on.

Exactly , Russia hasn’t deteriorated enough in my opinion for a coup to be feasible

People keep talking about stuff on Moscow , but Moscow is celebrating its birthday today . Of course it’s going to feel different

Depends on whether those ***ed off forces from Kalingrad really are heading into town. The National Guard wouldn't stand in their way, they'd be demolished. But you'd expect there to be more videos emerging of their convoys if they were there in numbers.

Ah so it is for Moscow’s ‘birthday’ after all, that would make sense that roads towards Kremlin/Red Square would close. It’s the thought of closures out towards heavily militarised places like Balashikha that got me wondering that something else could be planned.

That’s what I’ve heard, there is a celebration there today.

I’m in no way a Russian sympathiser by the way . I’ve made my feelings well known on this forum , I think Putin is better off dead

I just don’t sadly feel russia have culminated enough for a coup to be viable

Yeah it’s Moscow’s birthday so likely Red Square, Park Pobedy and a few other large parks will see big gatherings and fireworks displays. I don’t remember the military shutting down roads prior to similar celebrations from my short time there but it wouldn’t surprise me.

I’ve not noticed anything you’ve posted suggesting you’re a Russian sympathiser by the way, I’m a big Russophile under normal circumstances, I love the people and the place, it just currently has a leader making a massive tragic historic mistake.

And I totally agree that there are no obvious, outward signs suggesting Putin’s position is in anyway unsafe, I think he’ll be around for a while yet - last I heard life in Moscow is still pretty comfortable bar some inconveniences and price rises, but it’s heading in the wrong direction and outside the Moscow bubble will likely be much tougher - the future is impossible to predict, especially in Russia!

Ok, I'm just being told stuff that if effing nuts. Will add shortly.

It's Moscow Day. Star attraction is normally Putin, and the Mayor.

Today, neither anywhere to be seen.
My friend just told me that he reckons Putin is on his way to Sochi with his goat. His goat is his best/only friend (not a joke). He linked to the flight (which had come from far east Russia via a stop at a military airfield.)
There have been photos of Putin opening a sports centre and a feris wheel. Stock footage. Both completed a year ago. He hasn't been in Moscow on Moscow day.

Then there's the body doubles. Putin has at least 2 apparently. The one that met Erdogan in Iran was a double. They are, I'm told, an almost exact likeness.
I'm thinking "If this was a movie script, no-one would believe it". But then, these are the people with polonium tipped umbrellas and perfume that kills people in Salisbury. They do "nuts". It would be funny... if it wasn't.

Anyway, for the real Putin, follow the goat. And it would seem they are in Sochi.

So lots of happy revellers in Moscow. No Putin strutting his stuff.

Those trucks in the video clip are marked "V" if you look closely. Navy. ie probably the 11th from Kalingrad. They blocked the ring road. But then there has been no footage posted of them since.

Something odd going on for sure.

Looks like the Ukrainians lied when they said the counteroffensive would start in Kherson

- get Russia to send loads of troops to kherson
- blow up bridges and trap **** loads of Russian soldiers
- stop them being able to travel to other areas
- mount the big offensive in Kharkiv oblast

The news has been so far behind it does make you wonder 🤔

The information being fed back to Putin must be at best he controls the don bass - at worst there’s nothing to be achieved

He has been in the far East, curiously detached. Maybe he doesn't want to accept just how badly it's going. He's a narcissist.
Which is why it's odd, on the 875th birthday of Moscow, he is somewhere else.
