Does anyone know what the situation is with the the “grab a jab” and 2nd doses? I have my 2nd booked for 8th August but would be keen to move forward and grab one on the go in 3 weeks time when I hit 8 weeks since first jab.

With those Case numbers, I'm glad I'm one of the 123555. I hope this "delta" wave dies down soon. It seemed to fade in India much quicker than it's doing here.

Our rate of vaccination has tailed right of compared to a few weeks ago.
Yeah. One of two things the government is using to hide it's corruption is the strength of the vaccine roll out. I wonder if the NHS is deliberately slowing down it's numbers just to spite them? I know it's not. But it would be so tempting if I was running the vaccination campaign.

It's a strange combination of not lowering the 12 week timeframe for younger age group second doses but going all out to get first doses to the remaining 4 million under 30s.
At the current rate of knots we won't really have vaccinated that many people twice more than we would have had this month.

As doom says we were supposed to be outrunning the virus in a race for our freedom.

You could be forgiven for thinking the government postponed removal of restrictions for something besides the vaccination race.

Deaths in single figures though which is bad for the families involved but shows vaccines are clearly working.
