Cases are starting to creep back up. I hear the r rate is rising too. That’s a worry. But I reckon the vaccine effect will kick in soon and hopefully bring things down

• 7-day average for new cases decreases by 5.6% to 26,987 per day, following 4.4% decrease yesterday (and 19th consecutive daily decrease)
• 7-day average for new cases is 29.5% lower than one week ago (from 29.4% lower yesterday) and 47.3% lower than two weeks ago (from 46.0% lower yesterday and 35.5% lower 7 days ago)
• 1,245 new deaths within 28 days of a positive test reported in 24-hour period, virtually unchanged from 1,239 yesterday
• 7-day average for new deaths within 28 days of a positive test decreases by 1.8% to 1,199 per day, following 0.6% decrease yesterday (and 5th decrease in the past 6 days)
• 7-day average for new deaths within 28 days of a positive test is 3.4% lower than one week ago (from 0.2% lower yesterday) and 12.4% higher than two weeks ago (from 13.8% higher yesterday and 53.4% higher 7 days ago)
 
Yes that is odd. You would expect the opposite. Or is it the way jabs are counted, i.e. we are getting the numbers late due to collation?

• 7-day average for new deaths within 28 days of a positive test decreases by 1.8% to 1,177 per day, following 1.8% decrease yesterday (and 6th decrease in the past 7 days)
• 7-day average for new deaths within 28 days of a positive test is 5.7% lower than one week ago (from 3.4% lower yesterday) and 6.7% higher than two weeks ago (from 12.4% higher yesterday and 39.7% higher 7 days ago)

On the coronavirus data website, it says the vaccination data is by date reported. That would suggest that there might be some delays in reporting, so that the data is not necessarily a reflection of vaccinations by actual date.
 
Unless those who are jabbed for work purposes are done on weekends?
I live opposite my local health centre and the last two weekends its been like the M25 outside of our house with everyone going for their jabs. My dad get's his next Sunday too so it must be popular
