Sunderland Taking Coins Off Away Fans

If there's no cash how are people paid 'cash in hand ' going to avoid income tax?
Spare a thought for them please.
And why shouldn’t they when billionaire chunts like Donald Trump brag about only paying $650 tax in a year because “he’s smart” - tax appears mainly to apply to the poor who have no way of escaping it

Everyone should pay tax according to the tax laws not just those paid under PAYE.
Those evading tax laws should be brought to justice.

SAFC by banning the holding of cash at a football game are leaving some people vulnerable if they don't have a debit/credit card or phone with payment facility. Its only a small percentage. The vulnerability is if they need a drink in the grournd or say on the way home. Do they allow cash notes like fivers and tenners?

Privacy of course is an issue with electronic money, some people (not on the fiddle) don't want their lives checked by others all the time.

Just put cameras on the fans all the time and prosecute the throwers.

Yes, but we all know that will never happen. If all the tax avoidance loopholes were closed we could solve homelessness, make sure everyone was fed, and wipe out debt the world over - those at the top will never allow that to happen because the current system depends on most people being poor so the few elites at the top can have most of the worlds money and all of the power that comes with it

convenient way not to give anyone any change in the away end haha, out to boost the budgets lol

The starting point of the solution is fairly obvious:
1 - advocate for everyone to stop voting Tory, they are the party of the elite, they reinforce the status quo.
2 - Stop supporting the royal family, they are the oldest and grandest of the elite, the figurehead that perpetuates the myths of entitlement, that those at the top deserve to be at the top.
3 - Vote for parties that will redefine our tax laws to stop supporting offshore tax havens, British territories are the worst for this. Massively tax any money moving in our out of offshore tax havens into the UK, any significant moneys coming in should have strong providence checks
4 - change the land laws in this country. Land is a scarce commodity that was taken by the elite 1,000 years ago, and has never been returned. It is a method of wealth generation and the people are effectively taxed for the small amounts that are returned for our use. Over 170billion in British land is estimated to be owned by unknown offshore entities. Land is king, it's at the centre of the cost of everything from housing, to public infrastructure projects, to farming/food costs
5 - No one has ever worked hard enough to be earn 100mill a year. It is earned via exploitation of others. Make tax on the very wealthy very, very high. The counter argument is always about investment. But what that effectively endorses is that successful companies should become monopolies and that trickle down economics works....I don't think either of these are true or in the publics interest.

Donald Trump isn't a citizen of this country
So what - they’ll be trying to roll out cashless as well. Do you think any of these uber rich people anywhere will be queuing up to pay more tax and asking for tax avoidance loopholes to be closed

I just want to have the option of carrying a few quid in my pocket, as well as my cards. That’s not too much to ask is it? I don’t remember ever being consulted about how I should carry my money or in what form I could or should spend it.

It really doesn’t require this much thought IMO. If Sunderland don’t want to accept cash and coins then that’s fine. Let’s hope they don’t ever go bust and have to get the collection buckets out. F*ck them.

I don't think he is a relevant point in this discussion about UK.

A better example might be the british businessmen who offshore their wealth to avoid tax. Just look at the people listed in the Panama & Pandora papers, almost exclusively on the right of british politics directly, or as financial backers of the Tory party.

RIGHT -
Jonathon Aitken - Tory, ex-chief secretary to treasury
Paul Deighton - Tory House of Lords, Chairman 'The Economist Group'
Ben Elliot - Co-Chairman of Tory Party
Patrick Robertson - co-founder of 'Bruges Grop' Tory brexit think tank
Helena De Chair - or Mrs Rees-Mogg as she commonly known
The Crown Estate - run by Tories, for royal privilage
Lubov Chernukhin - British Banker and major Tory donor
Moohamed Amersi - Major Tory Donor
Ben Goldsmith - 'financer' brother of Tory MP Zac, ex-etonian
Alexander Temerko - Major Tory donor
Bernie Ecclestone - Tory Donor
Cyrus and Saman Ahsani - billionaire oil execs and tory donors
Lady Tina Green - wife of Sir Philip Green - crook and Tory donor
Michael Ashcroft - former House of Lords, ex-Tory chairman
Tony Baldry Tory MP
Michael Mates - former Tory MP
Pamela Sharples - Tory House of Lords
Sarah Ferguson - sort of royal
Ian Cameron - David Camerons father
David Sharples - Son of Baroness Sharples Tory House of Lords
Mark Thatcher - son of Tory PM Maggie
Paul Burrell - Lady Di's butler
Aaron Banks - Tory and UKIP donor
Barclay brothers - media moguls and Tory donors

LEFT - Blair Tony and Cherie

The list goes on. Those who are cheating the system are almost exclusively Tory MPs or significant donors. Tax evasion will not be addressed while they are in power, tax evasion will simply be normalised and consolidated.

You can have that option, but private companies have the option to ban you from their premises for bringing it in, or from allowing you to transact with it. That is their choice, if it costs them lost trade, that is on them, if it doesn't but you want to make a stance, that is on you.

I hope they have a charity bucket so you can drop your coins in outside the turnstiles. Presumably 50 pound notes are still ok for woodgate to burn

Just what is the problem with there being a choice?
Of course cash is becoming more niche and is rapidly reducing in usage, but if there is still a chunk of people who either want to use it, or who have no option, then surely we should be wanting that to remain an option?

Idiots using coin form of cash as missiles in a football stadium should be dealt with appropriately via CCTV, Stewards, Police.

I may be in a minority of one but I am not prepared to be searched going into anywhere.

I am also not prepared to have my money taken from me.

I will not be attending the Stadium of Light therefore. There are similar "rules" going into the away end at Hillsborough and Huddersfield Town. I don't go there either !

At Stoke they even try to do it to their own supporters. I offered to turn out of my pockets and open my handbag but they can keep their hands off me. They allowed me entry.

These days it will not be the disaster it might have been years ago. If I cannot go to football matches, I cannot go to football matches - makes life simpler

I also like to know that my tip at restaurants is actually going to the waiter/ waitress rather than it being added on to the bill
and not knowing for sure that they will receive it.
That's a whole new subject.
Even putting cash in a waiter's hand doesn't necessarily mean they'll get it (or all of it anyway).
Every restaurant has a policy relating to tips which often means pooling them - whether cash or card - and sharing amongst all staff including kitchen.
Now if your waiter decides to bypass their policy and discreetly pocket the cash, well that's a different matter.
