Still booing the taking the knee

Our national anthem is a load of absolute bollox. I’m not a god-bothering royalist so how could I possibly relate? Doesn’t mean I would frown on a more sensible national anthem though, one that was about England.

That conflict has been ongoing for 2 years now. Showing our solidarity soon fell by the wayside.

I don't recall seeing any show of support at the Riverside when Yemeni civilians were getting the **** kicked out of them.

The period between 3pm and 5pm on a Saturday afternoon should hold a single focus. We're not Celtic fans ffs.
This. Go somewhere else to express political views. We are all Boro and all proud. Leave the rest at the gates.

Politics does come in to sport. I don't particularly like that, but it always has and it always will.

Surely booing the knee is itself a political action though? If you really didn't want politics to come into sport, you'd endure your 3 seconds of hardship in stoical silence. Instead, the booing makes it a bigger issue, and I wonder why anyone makes the effort if they don't want to get political on a Saturday afternoon.

Whether this is the message intended by booing or not, the message received is that those doing it actively oppose racial equality. You might tell me you don't care what I think you mean. If that's true, why bother sending any message at all?

I don’t think the club have helped though with our mixed messages as we all know about our don’t take the knee policy.

Yes I know why but that player left along time ago so now it just looks a bit clunky and I don’t think it helps the crowd situation either.

I haven't looked closely , but I'm not aware of any of those taking the time to criticise taking the knee/defending booing it on here making any comments on the Sheff Wed 'fan' making the racist gesture at the weekend
