Stadium of Light

Looks like the deckchairs are mobilising for a protest outside the SoL at 7pm tonight. It's funny, but you can understand their anger. Bizarre thing to do. The Geordies will still trash it regardless.

Epic fail if true like calling billogs mackems

They should be píssing on the geordies seats not welcoming them into hospitality. Imagine if something similar happened at ibrox and they had a green room.
the actions of both clubs and thier fans around "The Derby" make them both look small time absolute comedy central

We seem to have been fortunate because the Riverside, whether by accident or design, allows multiple segregation options In the new away bit as well, so we can easily accommodate EFL, Premier League, league cup and FA Cup away quotas without doing anything drastic. So far as I can tell, Sunderland’s problem appears to stem from the fact that they can’t.
According to people at work away fans at the SoL are in the top tier & the SAG didn't want Newcastle fans in the tier above Sunderland fans, the hospitality area is access from the lower tier. So SAFC apparently had two options leave the lower tier & bar empty, or let Newcastle have both.
They created the 3rd by letting them have both & redecorating the bar.

Must admit I wasn't paying full attention but I think travel is via 1 of 300 coaches & away fans will be in the ground for 90 minutes either side of the game.

"Howay/haway the lads" was sung regularly at Ayresome and early years Riverside.
In recent years it almost feels this song has been 'cancelled' due to worries about the geordie/mackem connotations
I'd guess the Teesside version drops the 'h'?

Bring it back I say

I love making a big "'a'way" bellow at the game myself

It’s the different way the supporters of the 2 clubs spell it. Howay is Newcastle. Ha’way is Sunderland.
Highly unlikely 95% of mackems spell it that way.......they can't spell full stop. "Black" "Cats" spelt correctly would put any mackem in the "Wearside Genius" category.
