So we can't all be buying top end cars and contrary to belief i love cars but like money more!
so previous car and present car with cost and probable next car.
Citroen Berlingo £3800,Suzuki sx £4250 and Peugeot rifter gt line(when the price drops)

At our age, we need something where we're not sitting low-down. We also live in the New York metro area, so driveability is hardly a factor. I have a Nissan Rogue Sport (Quashquai) with all the technology stuff and the important feature of satellite radio.

Currently a Honda HR-V (EX spec), most people think it's a bit boring, but it's decent to drive, good boot, and the magic seats are great when we load it up with camping gear. Has the 'moon roof' too plus all the usual toys, stereo is surprisingly decent as well. Comfy on long drives, not too big for car parks and generally well put together, and being a Honda it has the very good v-tec engine.

last 3 cars have been suv's but may go back to a hatchback next time in a couple of years time.

On the look out no for a decent SUV, go upn to £10,000 to play with. Currently have an MPV but too many seats for our need.

2002 Saab 9-3 convertable. Cheap as chips to buy. Lovely car.
I really miss my big old Truckasaurus though (Mistsubishi Delica L400). A fantastic old bus, load lugger that I could sleep in when filming in remote locations. Sadly she died when I was hit head on by someone on the wrong side of the road. Glad I was in her though ... she was a tank.

I drive a 2008 ford focus which I bought 1 year old with 9000 miles on the clock for £8k, its currently on 96k miles and I've had to spend very little on it, maybe £200-500 a year last 2-3 years as a few things start to show age or need replacing. Girlfriend used to drive a BMW on lease but I eventually won her over and she no longer spends £350 a month on that so we put that into the home improvement fund instead. I drove it around a few times and beyond looking better, it didnt really handle any better or more enjoyably than my focus. I'd not be averse to buying a decent car though and I dont really begrudge others for what they spend money on and find it a bizarre way to call people out. Just because other people are struggling doesn't mean you have to drop your own hobbies, interests and likes, and not doing so doest mean you lack compassion or humility. You have no idea what people are doing with their time and resources.

None.Had Vespa`s since i was 16,never bothered taking a driving test,i never felt confident behind the wheel during lessons for some reason.I can appreciate motors though.

Skoda Yeti for me. Had it since 2012 and so far there really isn't anything that comes close (within budget) so I'll stick with it for now. The car itself is 10 years old, and costs me nowt but servicing/petrol.

I'd been looking at the Volvo XC40 which I'd be more than happy with as a replacement, but it's massively overpriced IMO. Also, as someone who keeps a car for a number of years, I can't decide whether to plump for a hybrid/electric/petrol.

I don't bother with a car as I live in a city with good public transport. For when I'm back in the UK I've got a 2011 Skoda superb estate which is big enough for lugging we whatever I need doing for house renovation. I'm old enough now not to care about prestige. Back in 2002 I bought a new Merc clk on a whim whilst waiting for my older c class to be serviced . It cost me 38k and I sold it eight years later to whebuyanycar for less than 3k. There's a lesson there somewhere.

I have a 2004 ir is it 2002? Can't rememebr and its on a private plate, RX8. I love the thing paid just over a grand for it, 1 engine rebuild, 3 grand. It is an a bsoloute delight to drive on country roads.

It is quirky, but I am getting about 3 weeks to the gallon at the minute, which is better than I used to get out of my Vectra diesel.

I have a 2016 BMW 1 series, I get 60+ MPG, it's zero tax and I have just renewed the insurance for less than £300 a year for me and the missus.

Ive bought a similar 2010 focus the only thing thats had to be replaced was the anti roll bar linkaged which wasnt expensive . I wasnt over enamoured when i bought it but its won me over with its reliability. The Mrs has a nice car for the family but mine serves mw well going travelling to sites for work

New Nissan Micra, lovely little car to commute in, really cheap for insurance.

Drive my partners 19 plate Peugeot 508 for leisure. Its an automatic and is very comfortable with all the mod cons.

Mazda 6 big, quick and comfortable. I had one before and gave many miles of trouble free motoring for not much money.
But my big enjoyment are the 5 classic motorbikes in the garage.

Just today received delivery of a Volkswagen "Up!". Haven;t even driven it yet as the insurance starts tomorrow. City car for the streets of Sheffield. We have a Seat Ateca as the family car. I think it's great.
