so what do most of us drive?

I have an 18 plate golf GTD estate, which I use a lot for work, my other half drives an old 2007 xtrail, which she has because we have horses.

Haven't got one as it's easy to get by here without one. In the UK I had 3 cars, first was a Polo, then 2 Golfs, not very interesting I know!

Haven't owned a car for more than 15 years now.
The things I miss

Sitting in traffic jams for hours going nowhere.
People coming up behind me flashing light when Im already doing 10mph over the speed limit.
Worrying the whole night about leaving the car in the multi-storey and returning to it vandalised
Not being able to drink any alcohol on a night out. (if I did drink alcohol)
Being cut up at roundabouts.
Being spat at by Jamie Carragher
The imaginative hand gestures when even I dare to do something wrong.
Driving around a town trying to find somewhere to park
Paying a bill for an MOT with a made up fault.
Paying to have the brake discs replaced because they are 0.1 mm outside of spec (A BMW favourite)
Being held to ransom by the servicer that they will not stamp the service record unless all work is carried out to manufacturers standards (rip offs)
risking my life and others lives while moving at high speed in a few tons of metal.
Fear of that European driver on the wrong side of the road.
Fear of someone texting while driving a vehicle into the back of me whilst stuck in unexpected traffic on the motorway
Fear of people driving high speed in fog and low visibility.
Scraping the ice off a car for 20 minutes before stepping foot in it.
Adding to the environmental damage and global warming by all the emissions.
Burning up the planets fossil fuels

But apart from those I would love an open top Ferrari so people can admire me from afar and instantly see what a cool dude I am

96 Toyota Prado - done 420 000 km. built like a tank, and great for carting round sheep, hay, straw etc etc
Also have a 97 nissan march, has had so many shunts I think its indestructable too (kids learned to drive in it!!)

Haven`t driven since 1997 or owned a vehicle since 1990.
Last vehicle I drove looked like this:

Got a Specialized Roubaix
and a Genesis Tour de Fer20 now.
(y)

2016 Honda CRV Diesel. 55Mpg, the CRV hasn't changed much in an age, but I've found it to be reliable, well equiped, cheap to run - especially recently :p and not had a huge hit with parts etc - I think I've changed the tyres, battery and rear wiper in 3 years.

It's crown is the vast boot that has been an absolute godsend in moving the offspring around (Cambridge & Oxford) it is cavernous and easily took a rooms worth of gear in one hit. I have one more trip to make to Cambridge as a collect as we'd left half of daughters kit locked down in her room per the norm between terms. That will then be their education done - unless daughter wants to do a Masters, but she feels she'd like to do that at York or Durham so commutable.

I do like to be a little higher off the ground nowadays, so unsure what I'll do when it comes to changing it as I'll hopefully no longer need a huge load capable beastie.

I’ve got an 18 plate 430i Grand Coupe and a Westfield 2ltr Duratech for the weekends.
Got the missus a 67 plate A1, think it’s a 1.4.

I think I want a Tesla Model 3 or Audi E-Tron next or maybe something like a Velar, X6 or a Macan.

Skoda Superb Scout (left hand drive) and Porshe 911 which is 30 years old. Missus has an Audi RS6 which is an estate car but it's actually quicker than the Porshe.
I imagine the RS6 (cracking cracking car BTW) is quite a bit faster than the Porsche?

It's amazing how fast modern super saloons are.

Wow, the Westfield must be a blast? On the right road, in the right weather!
I was flirting with an electric car before I started looking at sports cars. only really the Model 3 and the Polestar 2 fit into both my range and price requirements. the Tesla just looks so dull though and I worry about build quality.

Oh and I currently own a Mercedes CLS350 (don't get triggered by the name, it's just what it's called ) Shooting Brake.

I also have the dubious "joy" of being able to use the other halves Nissan Juke. Possibly my least favourite car currently on sale. I can't think of one redeeming feature of this ugly, comically small inside, poorly performing SUV. Though her's is an ex demonstrator so at least it has ALL the toys

E-Class bluetec coupe... So yes I have to p!ss in the tank every now and then to keep her running. 😐
