This also brings into question his whole story about being in Durham. If indeed in his hour of need, his family let him rise from a near death state, to drive to hospital and pick up his wife and kid, what exactly did his family do to support them? It sounds absolutely nonsense.

well that effectively is part of his argument, they had to go to Durham because his wife had covid, but she didn't have covid so it was safe to get in the car and drive for 5 hours.
 
How hard did they try to get child care? Not at all by the sound of, and are we really supposed to buy that a high profile figure with connections at the very highest couldn’t have access to child care if worst came to worst an they were both incapacitated at the same time. The whole story is more and more ridiculous the more you look at it

Exactly. It boils down to 'I couldn't get a nanny and it is much too inconvenient for me or the missus to look after our own spawn'.

Didn't try any of the local help groups, didn't try the local authorities, didn't try his boss (not Johnson), didn't try his relations who live in London.

Instead took the virus across the country including potentially into a hospital while simultaneously putting more load on the NHS, then lied about why he made a 60 mile car trip.

Anyone else would have been fined or possibly arrested 'pour encourage les autres'.
 
Also gobsmacked my Hancock saying they'll look at reviewing the fines handed out to people. Not only are they now saying 99.99% of the public were wrong about what was permitted, so were the police themselves! Absolutely incredible! All to save one man's career?

This is now looking more and more like Trumpton. More scary than the virus.

And some gave stick out because some of us gave Johnson no sympathy when he was ill!

They've quickly shot down Hancock on that one. No reviews.

Shambles of a government.
 
Look he only broke the rules on at least 9 occasions.

1. Returned to work after wife had symptoms.
2. Left home with wife when they should be self isolating.
3. Non essential journey to Durham.
4. Visited elderly relatives not to drop food or medication.
5. Relocated to a secondary residence during lockdown.
6. Visited hospital when he was meant to be self isolating.
7. Made a non essential journey to Barnard Castle
8. Sat on park bench
9. Made a second relocation during lockdown by returning to London.

This is without taking into account that he did not seek childcare in London, that he did not stop at any service station on the way to Durham, other sitings of him in Durham during his period of self isolation, the implications of his wife’s article of them being at home, No 10 telling us he was at home, driving a car with impaired vision and returning to work only when remote working wasn’t possible.
 
he drove 60 miles to see if it was safe to drive, and if it wasnt? how many might he have injured or killed finding out?
