Simon Clarke MP

For the record, this is not the first time we have fact checked a claim that Mr O’Connell has made. His was the first account we were able to find that shared a false quote that went viral during the 2019 election campaign. The quote (in a now-deleted tweet, still available on the Internet Archive) was claimed to be from the leaked US-UK trade documents, and supposedly said that the US reserved the right to “withdraw all trade” if the UK did not agree to discussions about “the sale of all assets within and partnered with the National Health Service”.
No such quote appeared in the leaked text. When asked by a Twitter user where the quote appeared, Mr O’Connell gave a page reference that did not exist in any of the documents.

Here you go ST

I checked the twitter feed and noticed it was some raving anti government conspiracy theorist

Then I checked an actual a real factual story. Here’s the findings for you

This is the best bit he’s even got form for it!
Sorry. Beat you to it. I do wonder if you have taken my post. Then recycled it as your own. That would be ironic.

Bye now. No more responses from me.

I did steal it from your thread after I read the twitter account. You provided the perfect link for me

Good to hear those claims are false.
The real problem is, because of their track record, this was an easy claim to make.

That's what I thought. As soon as I read it I thought "typical" There now a boy who cried wolf feeling over this government. Because they lie so much and get up to so many dodgy things, anything against them is believable.

Typical böllox. It seems like you have no understanding of honesty and decency.

Bye.
I have thought about it some more this morning. The reason I am very unhappy about you hiding the source of your information is that I worked for Reuters for many years. Part of that time was in the news production area.

The two things that were drummed into everyone in the company were truth and attribution. Whatever department of the company you worked for. That was necessary to maintain the reputation of the company at that time.

It was seen as the decent and honest thing to do to acknowledge where information came from. Not steal it for yourself without attribution.

I followed those standards by publishing the truth even though it does not fit with my narrative about this government. You then stole it without attribution. This in Reuters and my eyes is dishonesty. Even worse you then tried to cover up the dishonesty.

But, but, but Corbyn...

Wow another graduate of the ST school of misdirection. Supported on by his mentor and fellow member of "the clique"

If you can point to me referring to Corbyn in this thread or many others would be a start.

Spanish if you had named your thread to point that the story was a load of rubbish would have been a start it's all well and good playing to your morale high ground but nobody seen it and the one reply you got that person hadn't read it and was presuming you were continuing with the claims. This is a football form not Reuters news agency. You weren't the source the website was. I'll take whatever links I want you don't own it nor do I need your permission or reference you. I didn't try to cover anything either I said here you go here is a factual website and in my next post I told you direct I took it from your thread. No covering up there.

You don't own that site or the link so I did not steal anything. Plus I couldn't care less what Reuters news agency class as dishonesty. I'm on a football message board. It doesn't take much for you and other members of "the clique" to post stories or "like" stories posted by others as long as it fits the anti Brexit/Johnson/tory vibe. It's called playing to the gantry.

There is nothing decent about a man who thought it was funny to suggest that the virus would kill Brexit/Northern Tory voters as some form of revenge. Crying foul on me posting a link you shared and talking about decency when you think it is perfectly acceptable to post things like that shows the hypocrite you are. Maybe you could contact some of the families of the deceased and advise them that God has a sense of humour and that is why they contracted the virus and passed away. (pretty sure you won't though)

Do you want to try putting this into English ?

It is

I think you might have been living in Spain too long. Anyone with a basic grasp of English should be able to understand that.

Thank you

You have no idea how long I've been living in Spain, and my grasp of English is perfectly fine thank you - unlike yours it would appear

Thank you

After several weeks of blowing out my cheeks at his trolling, I've finally given in and unfollowed the deeply unpleasant defender of the uber-right that is Cooper. Hopefully this means I won't even see his predicable response to this.

Nothing wrong with mine. Reads ok to me, if you have an issue understanding it I would be worried. Perhaps it your eyesight then and you can't make out some of the words. Only other thing I can think of. I note errors in many peoples posts but if you don't have an issue reading them, you should have no issue reading mine. Unless of course that doesn't suit your agenda and you can read other members of "the clique" posts but non members you pull them up on.

Harry - Not sure why people advertise they have blocked someone. You can do that without the "look at me look at me" abit like Spanish does. It must be a trait of "the clique"

Tip my bowler hat to you Laughing sir. That's more like it

"Reads ok to me" .... and therein lies the problem - though I appreciate the fact that you recognise that

Maybe you could highlight what you are finding difficult to understand. As I presume you have no issue reading other posters posts. Especially on this thread littered with spelling mistakes from people within "the clique". Again I suspect you are just being pedantic though as your a lefty remainer and consider me a righty brexiteer therefore you suddenly find yourself unable to read.

As you were....

I think a sign of the truly paranoid is that they think there is a"clique" on here (certainly if I'm part of it ). Maybe if you believe people are ganging up on you, it's just because you are saying something silly?
