Simon Clarke MP

with no effective political journalists asking the right questions, with the PM scared to be interviewed by the best political journalist, with most of the mogul press blindly backing the Tories, with most Tories 'unavailable' (ie scared) to go on Ch4 news, and with an ineffectual opposition ........we are lucky to have this miserable man to be in a position to scrutinise what's really happening (or not happening) and the needless deaths being caused by flawed policies and flawed human beings

Cooper where have I 'Tory bashed'?
Clarke flapped, Morgan ripped into him.
I simply reported as seen. Nowhere have I critiscised the government or the Conservatives.
Also you seem to take umbrage with the fact that that some of us who are off/can't work are up early and watching the telly.

Ding Ding slavver slavver

Haha Piers Morgan. That hard hitting journalist (aka a tv character basically a pantomime villain)

Cant imagine people creaming themselves over a bloke who was caught staging photos so he could print stories against the British army.

You know for an absolute fact that he if he was having a pop at a labour MP that would be the 1st thing brought up and advised to ignore him. Oh it’s a Tory MP he’s our hero!!

Oh just to add im at work I don’t have time to watch GMB like some of you

And there we have it! Whataboutery at its finest AND attacking the source rather than the message!
A proud moment for Coops the great deflected of government criticism. Gold star laddie

He reminds me of a certain poster on the old board....
Cooper.

what I love about him is his persistence. He must KNOW by know that everyone is aware that all he can do is deflect from the issue being discussed by using a “but Corbyn would have...” lime yet he persists. Doggedly ignoring the actually issue to deflect and detract despite everyone knowing it’s his MO

Simon Clarke and compassion are unlinked words. He would have been useful in the WW1 trenches.

Questions have to be asked why were the UK health services less prepared that other similar countries and coped less well when the virus hit in early March. The Government has to take ultimate responsibility, but there are a lot of senior people in the NHS that also have to take responsibility. Lessons have to made and changes made. No one ever seems to take responsibility look at all the unnecessary deaths at Stafford Hospital no one was ever prosecuted, no one senior suffered major damage to their career.

I worked with a young German woman in 1992/3 and she used to go into a major hospital in Wakefield to see an ill relative-in-law and she said it scared her i.e. how it was run and the quality of the facilities compared with similar hospitals in Cologne where she was from.

I suspect not as much money as should gets into frontline services, some money is wasted and we spend less overall than say other major European countries.

Recent examples of poor planning/execution - the London Excel Centre 3,600 bed field hospital has only admitted 40 patients (as per Saturday), The Superlab at Milton Keynes (Lighthouse Lab opened ten days ago) is only doing 1,000 tests per day - it should be doing 5,000 by now and has a full capacity to do 30,000 test per day. Staff only work from 8am till midday, but are accommodated in local hotels. This information comes from Mail on Sunday.

Brilliant :)… more made up quotes from ST. Literally no mention of Corbyn here or another of thread. But that is typical ST.

You just stick to crying about Brexit so you can continue to exploit migrant workers in order to keep the cost of your cleaning and fruit and veg down. There's a good lad

Ah you’ve deliberately misunderstood. Cool, that’s another one of your deflection techniques. You do have an impressive arsenal of ways of deflecting from government criticism. The Borisette army would be proud. You know fine well what I meant.

It’d be nice to drag you back to the topic so here goes: what do you think was wrong with the questions Morgan asked?

..and while you're answering questions can you tell me which publications / media outlets you will accept criticism for the current government from ?
To be fair he’s not answering questions. That isn’t the Cooper way. Let’s see how he deflects my latest direct question.

ST strikes again.... as I have already stated I am at work I don’t have time to watch GMB but you usually ignore what anyone else states anyways so no shock that.

Lizard you can read or watch anything you like. The Guardian were constantly making political stories before this pandemic even hit around it so I not really interested in a paper who’s sole purpose is to play politics. Don’t get to see Piers Morgan so wouldn’t have a clue what he his agenda is in order to play up to his media persona he’s invented

So I ask again, which media outlets would you believe a story from ?

Would the Mail be suitable, The Telegraph, The Sun, Viz ?

Ah it's convenient that you missed that so you can't answer the question.

I guess if deflection, distraction and whataboutery don't work, pleading ignorance will always get you out of answering any government criticism.

It must be so nice being someone who never has to be challenged on their views, never has to defend them directly.
