Who is we? Would that be "the clique" ST and his band of merry men?

Not quite sure what i'm supposed to be upset about or what I am supposed to own but I noted previously "own it" was a phrase been banded about with no substance so I guess it's one of those

AH, I forgot I need to be extra clear with you as you'll pretend to misunderstand or twist what I say. Thanks for the reminder.

You need to "own" your whataboutery. You got ever so upset when I pointed out you were doing it again that you spent four pages worth of posts trying to detract from the original story. You should be proud that your distractions are so successful instead you pretend to be upset with me for pulling you up on them.

It goads me all these very well paid experts and politicians standing outside the massive Excel Centre a couple of weeks ago and then I find only 40 patients have ever been submitted and we have passed the top of the peak
No, I think that's unfair, there was always a danger in building the "Nightingale" hospitals that they might not be needed. And I'd rather we had then and didn't need them than need them and not have them. That doesn't excuse the other instances of incompetence like failure to lockdown, like failure to secure supplies of PPE, etc. etc.

There has been a believable allegation on Twitter that someone (allegedly at the behest of the government) has been setting up fake NHS accounts, like this one

This one is borderline hilarious!

128 such accounts were identified and then they all dissappeared, deleted, not one at a time but in one fell swoop. We're told. Evidence is being gathered. If this is true (and to be honest the Tories are not exactly blemish free with misuse of social media so I think it needs to be investigated) then we need to see heads roll.

I saw this this morning. This is absolutely outrageous if true.

Are there no depths to which this current government won't stoop?

“We were on a break” catchphrase from Friends comes to mind on this thread. Mind you there seems to be umpteen “breaks” going on.

Are there no depths to which this current government won't stoop? - ST straight in there no evidence needed but hey ho it's anti government so i'll blame them anyways.

Well maybe after lunch I did a little more work and went home. I do work flexi time (but you'll never know) ;)

Simon Clarke and compassion are unlinked words. He would have been useful in the WW1 trenches.

Questions have to be asked why were the UK health services less prepared that other similar countries and coped less well when the virus hit in early March. The Government has to take ultimate responsibility, but there are a lot of senior people in the NHS that also have to take responsibility. Lessons have to made and changes made. No one ever seems to take responsibility look at all the unnecessary deaths at Stafford Hospital no one was ever prosecuted, no one senior suffered major damage to their career.

I worked with a young German woman in 1992/3 and she used to go into a major hospital in Wakefield to see an ill relative-in-law and she said it scared her i.e. how it was run and the quality of the facilities compared with similar hospitals in Cologne where she was from.

I suspect not as much money as should gets into frontline services, some money is wasted and we spend less overall than say other major European countries.

Recent examples of poor planning/execution - the London Excel Centre 3,600 bed field hospital has only admitted 40 patients (as per Saturday), The Superlab at Milton Keynes (Lighthouse Lab opened ten days ago) is only doing 1,000 tests per day - it should be doing 5,000 by now and has a full capacity to do 30,000 test per day. Staff only work from 8am till midday, but are accommodated in local hotels. This information comes from Mail on Sunday.
Surely that's a good thing though that the nightingale hospitals aren't busy though yes? I'd be more worried if they were full.

Wow, just wow. I think you might need a little rest Coops. Or at least to read the first part of my post. Sadly it’s entirely like you to cherrypick comments to change the context.

I guess you have two options: continue your deflection and ignore any bad stories for the government, or take to Twitter and have a look at the thread.

I think we all know which one you’ll choose. It’s starting to get tedious now.

That's some lunch break you've been on there Cooper. Posting all afternoon since 1:00pm yet you find the time to make inferences about people being at home watching GMB.

Did you go graduate from the ST school of misrepresentation?

I posted at 13:04 I was on my lunch and last post coming off my lunch was 14:05. So that leaves 3 posts after that time. As I say I work flexi so I could have finished work ages ago. So I would say that statement around my lunch and posting “all” afternoon is abit wide of the mark. I get a 5 break an hour plus 15 minute break so they could have all been made in that period

ST will be proud of that level of misrepresentation though he has taught you well

So you use all of your available breaks to post on FMTTM?

That's quite sad.

Another misdirection post. I never said I did.. I said I could have and also I could have finished work. Nice try at deflecting and misrepresentation again!
1st I spent “all” afternoon posting (3 posts in 3 hours) and now I spent all my breaks posting

your deflecting knows no bounds

Lies today from the Foreign office permanent secretary. When asked why the UK did not take part in an EU ventilator scheme, he answered "It was a political decision. The UK mission (UKREP) briefed ministers about what was available and what was on offer and the decision is known". So much for the missed emails eh? How dare they politicise this? I hear you cry.

Can't wait for tomorrow though because the newspapers are going to have a field day with this aren't they? ... Aren't they:unsure: ... They will won't they:rolleyes:

Anyone noticed Cooper does the classic troll trick? When someone accuses him of something he just uses those same accusations against someone else or the person accusing him? What happened to you Coops, you've jumped the shark lately and lost the plot. Maybe you should relax more on your breaks at work.

Anyway back to the fake Twitter account accusations: what do we think?

It looks very suspicious. I'm glad someone managed to screenshot them before they were removed. I'm surprised team Cummings hasn't worked out the internet can't be deleted . Their propoganda machine isn't as smart as it thinks it is.

Or,
"The company I invest in weren't going to make anything out if it so I said fcuk that"

Oh well. It's not like ventilators save peoples lives.

I agree it good that the Nightingale Hospital has hardly been needed so far, but firstly it shows how little is really known about the virus and its impact and secondly I am concerned resources are not been spread eveningly and/or effectively.

Staff are complaining about a lack of PPE, not a lack of beds. Rumour is my local hospital has used only 30 out of its 120 Intensive units beds which again is good, but it is low on PPE. What would have happened if it used all 120? What is happening to unused PPE at the Nightingale hospitals, is it being redistributed?

The Nightingale Hospital is another badly implemented measure. The rules for a hospital to transfer to it are not only quite strict, they have to transfer medical staff to look after them too. The hospitals can’t do without these staff so they aren’t transferring patients.
