That's good.
I was thinking more in the manner and tone he'd adopt, knowing how touchy Trump is and how sycophantic Morgan is to Trump.
AH, I forgot I need to be extra clear with you as you'll pretend to misunderstand or twist what I say. Thanks for the reminder.
Who is we? Would that be "the clique" ST and his band of merry men?
Not quite sure what i'm supposed to be upset about or what I am supposed to own but I noted previously "own it" was a phrase been banded about with no substance so I guess it's one of those
No, I think that's unfair, there was always a danger in building the "Nightingale" hospitals that they might not be needed. And I'd rather we had then and didn't need them than need them and not have them. That doesn't excuse the other instances of incompetence like failure to lockdown, like failure to secure supplies of PPE, etc. etc.It goads me all these very well paid experts and politicians standing outside the massive Excel Centre a couple of weeks ago and then I find only 40 patients have ever been submitted and we have passed the top of the peak
I saw this this morning. This is absolutely outrageous if true. No, I think that's unfair, there was always a danger in building the "Nightingale" hospitals that they might not be needed. There has been a believable allegation on Twitter that someone (allegedly at the behest of the government) has been setting up fake NHS accounts, like this one
This one is borderline hilarious!
128 such accounts were identified and then they all dissappeared, deleted, not one at a time but in one fell swoop. We're told. Evidence is being gathered. If this is true (and to be honest the Tories are not exactly blemish free with misuse of social media so I think it needs to be investigated) then we need to see heads roll.
“We were on a break” catchphrase from Friends comes to mind on this thread. Mind you there seems to be umpteen “breaks” going on.
Surely that's a good thing though that the nightingale hospitals aren't busy though yes? I'd be more worried if they were full.Simon Clarke and compassion are unlinked words. He would have been useful in the WW1 trenches.
Questions have to be asked why were the UK health services less prepared that other similar countries and coped less well when the virus hit in early March. The Government has to take ultimate responsibility, but there are a lot of senior people in the NHS that also have to take responsibility. Lessons have to made and changes made. No one ever seems to take responsibility look at all the unnecessary deaths at Stafford Hospital no one was ever prosecuted, no one senior suffered major damage to their career.
I worked with a young German woman in 1992/3 and she used to go into a major hospital in Wakefield to see an ill relative-in-law and she said it scared her i.e. how it was run and the quality of the facilities compared with similar hospitals in Cologne where she was from.
I suspect not as much money as should gets into frontline services, some money is wasted and we spend less overall than say other major European countries.
Recent examples of poor planning/execution - the London Excel Centre 3,600 bed field hospital has only admitted 40 patients (as per Saturday), The Superlab at Milton Keynes (Lighthouse Lab opened ten days ago) is only doing 1,000 tests per day - it should be doing 5,000 by now and has a full capacity to do 30,000 test per day. Staff only work from 8am till midday, but are accommodated in local hotels. This information comes from Mail on Sunday.
Wow, just wow. I think you might need a little rest Coops. Or at least to read the first part of my post. Sadly it’s entirely like you to cherrypick comments to change the context. Are there no depths to which this current government won't stoop? - ST straight in there no evidence needed but hey ho it's anti government so i'll blame them anyways.
Well maybe after lunch I did a little more work and went home. I do work flexi time (but you'll never know)
That's some lunch break you've been on there Cooper. Posting all afternoon since 1:00pm yet you find the time to make inferences about people being at home watching GMB.
Did you go graduate from the ST school of misrepresentation?
I posted at 13:04 I was on my lunch and last post coming off my lunch was 14:05. So that leaves 3 posts after that time. As I say I work flexi so I could have finished work ages ago. So I would say that statement around my lunch and posting “all” afternoon is abit wide of the mark. I get a 5 break an hour plus 15 minute break so they could have all been made in that period
ST will be proud of that level of misrepresentation though he has taught you well
Oh well. It's not like ventilators save peoples lives. When asked why the UK did not take part in an EU ventilator scheme, he answered "It was a political decision. The UK mission (UKREP) briefed ministers about what was available and what was on offer and the decision is known"
Or,
"The company I invest in weren't going to make anything out if it so I said fcuk that"
