I know, poor guys.

It was one of the few times I cheered on Leeds when they got battered a few years ago, as it confirmed our safety even whilst we were losing.
The fact we went on to win was an added bonus.

As things stand, even after getting hammered at Fulham, Luton still have it in their hands, beat Reading & they're in the playoffs, Sheff Utd know, more or less, draw, unless we win by 3 clear goals & they too, are in the playoffs, but in the real world its not as simple as that & the very reason we love football, its so unexpected, we could win & results go our way & end up facing Huddersfield, win & one of the two mention lose & we face Forest, or miss out altogether

Lets enjoy the build up to the weekend, enjoy the game & take it from there

I don't think Sheff U, Luton and Boro will all win.

I am however absolutely certain that we are going to win at Preston, so if we do our job as I expect us to do, then I think we will squeeze in AND be a proper handful in the play offs.

Good research mate (y)

How many of those times was it Boro trying to sneak in to the play-offs though :confused:

Only twice have we been on the outside chasing the play-offs on the final day.

We didn't manage it in either, but third time's the charm!

My god, we agree on something.

I really think Fulhams season is finished, All wrapped up... I hope Mitrovic is on a goal bonus and fills his boots for some holiday spends..... game to watch is Luton ....

2 clear goals. As long as we score 2 more than them.
0-0 & 2-0 will do it.

Anything can happen on Saturday so it's pointless worrying too much about how Fulham will play or anything else.
We'll just have to see how it all 0ans out and deal with the emotional high's and lows as they occur.

And if Bournemouth win tonight?

Of course it is all ifs and buts and maybe’s when you are chasing. Sorry if my opinion is controversial, I get many take it as being negative, I am not and never will be a rara, but it is simply my opinion that teams with something to play for are more likely to be successful when playing against teams that don’t, that is common sense I’d have thought. We may yet get lucky, I hope we do.
Its not controversial. It is just odd.
Fair enough if that is your opinion but is not backed up by any of the facts presented to you at various places on this thread.
So history, age, experience, realism or common sense don't support your view. Quite the opposite in fact.

Just a minor correction...We don't have to win by 3 clear goals if Sheff Utd draw. We have to win by two goals, but score two more than them

e.g. 0-0 draw we need a 2-0 win.
1-1 draw we need a 3-1 win

I’m really not expecting to get in the play offs if I’m honest so anything is a bonus on Saturday. I wish I could be as positive as you lads but can’t see anything other than 3 wins for Us, Sheff United and Luton.

Thought we needed to win by 3 clear goals, checked the league table & yes, even better
