It was announced by the Club that a Stoke fan has been arrested in regards to the one that was set off in the away end but i've seen nothing formally announced about anyone being caught in respect of the flare in the South Stand which seems a little strange.
I don’t think they have been able to identify who it was as they hid under a banner. I wouldn’t be surprised if there has been some direct contact with all ticket holders around those seats and there could be no complaints if the club decided to put stewards in and around the drum and disabled area directly in front for future games.
I don't think they were ruling out being able to make a positive ID despite the banner obscuring the faces.

I’m sure they have done all they can to identify the person from the images they have but unless whoever it was has unique clothing or other identifying features it would be all but impossible. If they were able to do it, we would have heard something by now surely.

I imagine the NCA are involved with something this serious. They'll be getting the flare holder into a witness protection program after a plea bargain and passing on information that lets them build a RICO type case against the Red Faction kingpins.
