Private Number Plate

They are for people with small manhoods 😉

their wives buy them to compensate that.

actually thinking about it, I’ll probably be getting one anytime soon

I bought my son one on his new car and it more or less reads his name, but like mentioned previously, some are difficult to make out and have you baffled.

why would people be envious of something so utterly pointless there's no additional functionality of a private plate, even if you spend thousands and its not like its a piece of art. I just think most people cant get their head round its worth.
Like most possessions, it is only worth something to the owners. Most would agree you have brilliant memorabilia collection, others might think it is a waste of time and money.

I have spent thousands on fishing equipment, others would say you only need a rod and line.

Each to their own.

I dont think some people can actually get their heads around that point Norman

I think some people are a bit too defensive and some are a little too opinionated about something that isn’t really that important.

If you enjoy having a personalised number plate, who cares what someone else thinks? The fact that some people (including myself) don’t see the point should be irrelevant.

If you see one and make judgments about the owner’s personality or think they look down on people who don’t, you’re reading far too much into it.

It's a bit like naming your house Holly cottage instead of the house number. Utterly harmless but tells you a lot about the owner.
Ha! Our house had a name originally, as did all the house in our road. It's an 'Avenue', but that would sound snobby wouldn't it. Anyway some time back the council decided we can't have that, and gave everyone a number which now confuse every delivery driver.
As for giving your house a name, so what. It's still a thing for some to own your own house and giving it a name is entirely up to them. Live and let live I say.
Typing this from Rose Cottage, Leafy Lane , Bottoms End.

Of course it is, you can still pay a lot of money for a similar phone, I pay £11 a month, excellent camera, loads of memory, I know a few younger people who pay £30, £40 for a supposed better named phone, you're looking at it as a negative thing talking about inconveniences, I dont see it that way either

I've already told the mrs erimus that when we both retire & by a car between us she'll be driving around in a car with a Boro reg on

I did something similar for my wife for her birthday. Turned out that for £42 I could just change her name, by deed poll, to WN70QBB - job done!

She wasn't as pleased as I was, for some reason.

I’ve got V2 TBY in homage to a certain lovely class of loco we had at Thornaby MPD in the early 60s……with a small 51L sticker on the back
some of you older lads will know what I mean

You’re the guy who went into the back of my wife and drove off.

My wife bought me a plate when we lived in the States, you could pick what you wanted and it cost pennies at the time. It was 'BORO" and underneath was the inscription 'keep Texas wild' and a picture of a bluebonnet, the state flower.
