The wife was going to buy me one, one d ten t. Couldn't understand why.
Aye. Never understood why people pay thousands of pounds for a little bit of plastic that people just take the **** out of. Especially when said posers are trying to spell something on their number plates and looks like something completely differentI’ve never understood private licence plates. Don’t see the attraction at all
Turd Rag?This sort of thing I don't get. Was in the car park of my local a while ago. Wonder if his next car is a Nissan leaf
Might have been better off adding a reversing camera

Agree, my son & daughter bought mine for my 60thSomething i have noticed is that everyone who has a private number plate always seems to say their partner bought it for them.
They are too embarrassed to admit they bought it themselves and can't think up a valid reason for buying it other than being sad, so they just blame their partner.
Were they Irish?I quite like them. Certainly don't really see anything wrong with them.
I saw a van recently, and the number plate was: OC11NTS. Technically not private I suppose, but they'd spaced it O C1_1NTS. Made me chuckle... but I guess it was my puerile sense of humour
Of course it is, you can still pay a lot of money for a similar phone, I pay £11 a month, excellent camera, loads of memory, I know a few younger people who pay £30, £40 for a supposed better named phone, you're looking at it as a negative thing talking about inconveniences, I dont see it that way eitherIt’s not really the same as spending extra on a phone is it? At least with the phone, you’re getting some useable benefit like better cameras or more memory. With a number plate, nothing changes except you get the cost and inconvenience of having to transfer it between vehicles every few years.
I disagree. I didn’t say you couldn’t get a reasonable phone at a low price or that some phones are not worth the expense. Your £11 phone might be great for the price, but better phones surely exist. You just don’t think they’re worth the additional cost.Of course it is, you can still pay a lot of money for a similar phone, I pay £11 a month, excellent camera, loads of memory, I know a few younger people who pay £30, £40 for a supposed better named phone, you're looking at it as a negative thing talking about inconveniences, I dont see it that way either
I've already told the mrs erimus that when we both retire & by a car between us she'll be driving around in a car with a Boro reg on

A personalised number plate is not the same as there’s no tangible benefit. You then have to fill forms in and pay a fee to transfer it between vehicles. I’d call that an inconvenience and I think most would agree.
