Prince Andrew no longer HRH

They’ve been around for a very, very long time. The most important thing is the preservation of the institution, above all else. Don’t know why, but this Dylan lyric popped into my head when I reading about it.
Kind of death of a previous way of life…he won’t get it back. Even if cleared.

Well, God said to Abraham, "Kill me a son"
Abe said, "Man, you must be puttin' me on"
God said, "No", Abe said, "What?"
God said, "You can do what you want, Abe
But next time you see me coming, you better run"
Well, Abe said, "Alright, where do you want this killin' done?"
God said, "Out on Highway 61"

He could have put an end to all of this speculation by answering the questions of the FBI, instead of refusing to speak to them. If I was being accused but was innocent, I’d be pretty keen to clear my name.

Regarding the Royals, the likelihood is they know exactly what is going to be uncovered during the civil trial and have moved to distance themselves accordingly.
I mean how many times was he 'urged' to speak to the FBI about the Epstein affair?

He kept saying we would make himself available but he never did.

Never has a more spineless individual held those titles. Mates in the navy who have met him or been on the same ship say he is a complete bellend. The same people say Charles is a gent and has time for other people
Definitely over steps his mark does Charlie but have met him and been around his work for some time in a previous job and he is a really decent bloke

To put the other side of this. What actual forensic or otherwise evidence is there to secure a conviction.
No DNA as far as I know
Someone who has already accepted money has got to be an unreliable witness.
Has anyone else made the same accusations against Andrew. to corroborate the story?

There is a bit of lynch mob mentality about this whole thing on here and elsewhere
Just what is the compelling evidence he is guilty.? Being stupid is not evidence.
the stupid ones are the people who believe andrew!!!!!!if he had nothing to hide he would have been over there to clear his name,but no,because hes guilty as sin

Again - this isn't a criminal case, it's a civil suit. There can't be a conviction, just a judgement as to damages.

And as others have pointed out, in a civil case it's not about providing overwhelming and/or forensic evidence it's about establishing a balance of probabilities.

Seems premature as he has gone on record and TV that he never met the lady.... a more decent thing would have waited until he either settles before the hearing (implying guilt) or until the hearing is found against him ... then they can put him out to pasture .... Unless they KNOW he is a preditor which I think is more the case... either way he is free to do what he wants now

Well its a case of who to believe. On balance I would not believe andrew. But this is a very special case and one of the consequences of Dueffre prevailing I think this would turn in to a criminal case.
So be it you might say.but Its hard to ignore the big money prize thats hanging on all this.
No forensics and no corroborative accusers might just swing it Andrews way but for the Queen to take yesterdays action is incredible. Its almost like they got in a room and she asked him if he did it. He said yes and she handed down the punishment. She could have waited until a trial was over. I think its very likely he has fessed up to her.

the annoying thing is if it would have been any normal person,they would have been made to go and answer in america or been forced to go by our authorities

That is very much how it seems.

Queenie;
"Andy, did you go and meet up with a convicted nonce on multiple occasions and 'associate' with young(er) women whilst there?

Andy;
"Erm, yes mummy, a bit."

Queenie;
Did you also bring said convicted nonce and his groomer/enabler/missus to Royal family estates for social events?

Andy;
"Erm, yes to that mummy as well"

Queenie;
"And you did all this allowing multiple photos to be taken, whilst travelling as a member of the royal family with your close protection staff so there'll be evidence of your whereabouts and images of you with young women and the odd nonce?"

Andy;
"Yeah, that too"

Queenie;
"Well, I can't have that associated with my/our gravy train, consequences will be incoming...................."
