Play offs still on?

We have momentum now and winning is becoming a habit. Even at 1-0 down I still had faith that we’d draw if not win the game and you could feel that in the side.

Don’t forget before the winning goal crooks had a glorious chance he put over the bar do we were knocking on the door.

The transformation of the club has been amazing. Our squad had been written off as incapable of winning games in this division and us having to endure a season of struggle. Now?

Second best form team in the division, possessing the fight and will to win games when going behind. A newborn expression from the players - and showing we have some really talented players.

Play- offs? Definitely on. Special praise - yet again- to Carrick. The guy has achieved so much progress for us in such a short time.

We can be top 2..... why not...why not.....
I backed us at 33 to 1 upon carricks appointment to win the league.
Only 5 pounds granted but nonetheless....its doable...we are rising like a phoenix feom the ashes of the redka coke ovens.

I'm amazed it was only 33-1 considering how far off the top we were. I'd have thought somewhere between 66-1 and 100-1 was more realistic. 33-1 now would be understandable.

Anyway still 4 points off the top but reeled a few teams in. Next weeks match against Burnley will be a litmus test if we really can push for the top two, we would need to win this surely?

I think we'll get top six.

Of the 11 teams above us, I'm confident we'll overtake Millwall, Sunderland, Swansea, QPR, Reading, Blackburn and PNE. All of them are very ordinary

Not so sure we'll catch up Burnley, Sheff United, Norwich or Watford.

Nobody behind us to be feared.

I'll say a fifth placed finish for us.

Over half a season to go - we can see the "Carrick effect" in six games!
[Apologies for posting this in the Burnley thread as well]

I haven't changed my mind yet. It's too easy to get carried away when in a good run and expect it will continue indefinitely. This is the championship, we all know it won't. We'll definitely have a bad run at some point. That happens.

We've just had a great 6 games, we need another good run just to get into the playoffs because there will be other teams that have a good next 6 games so we can't leap frog them all.

I still have us doing well, playoff form, but just missing out on the playoffs because of the head start we gave everyone. I don't think we'll be miles away and hopefully it'll give us a good foundation for next season.

never seen it as tight in the champo . 3 points from a play off and 7 from relegation places... crazy ... just keep the points coming in and owt can happen ... a win over Burnley of sat would be fantastic

Auto no.
Play-offs yes.
And that would be an astonishing achievement by Carrick.
Sadly he'll then move on.
Enjoy the ride while it lasts.

He's got a deal until the end of the 2024/25 season, why would he leave after 2/3rds of a season in charge?
agreed, he also comes across as honerable and lacking ego, so I doubt he would walk unless Man Utd came knocking at the door, which they won't for a championship manager
