Play offs still on?

However we'll he does this season, he won't get an offer from an elite team until he proves himself at prem level at a bare minimum. So he'll be here next season, whatever happens. Hopefully it'll be with us in the prem. Still a long way to go thus season.

We've not done well in january in recent seasons, would be nice to have a good one for once. One that doesn't suck the momentum out of the ide
We did well last Jan what I recall 2 home wins and 2 in the cup, 1 defeat. previous year had 2 wins at Wycombe and Forest. Think you may recall the mowbray years which were a disaster after xmas.

Why do people keep saying this it tends to be the boro fan mindset as it’s either

Too good for us he’ll leave

Not good enough get rid.

It’s pathetic have some faith in your club
It's a fact of life though isn't it?

If any EPL side came in for him, or even a top Championship offering more money, there's a fair chance he will be off.

It's a career just like any other, if a better opportunity comes along you'd be a fool not to consider it.

I'm not suggesting this will happen any time soon but if our good form continues he'll be on the radar of other clubs.

One of Scott's main roles will be to have a succession plan already worked out. Most top sides probably have their next 4-5 managerial targets already lined up these days.

He’s only been here a month.

I meant in the window, we've tended to upset the applecart a bit with our signings but yes, we had a good set of results last time

You were not alone. Here's the latest nerdy graph, we've just broken through the 60 point line. We need to get to that yellow 70 point line to have any chance of the play offs. And we are exactly where we were last season.

I think this is a great graph and shows what I have been trying to say. Look at the step trajectory we are currently on, that doesn't happen many times but we need to repeat what we've already done. It's going to be very difficult to sustain it enough to get above the yellow line. We will definitely have a sticky patch, it's impossible not to in the championship. I just think trending on that 50 point line for nearly 20 games makes it too big a job this year to get above 70 points.

If we do we're in for a great 2nd half of the season.
