Phil Foden

Foden can be as good as he wants to be really.

He has it all.

He'll be better than Juninho if he continues in this form that's for sure.

Just switched commentary on.
Cant believe how easy its been for Citeh.
Scousers getting shafted big time!
Pleased for the Foxes - sitting quietly in third place - and the "media" hardly gives them a mention.

I'd thought he was being massively overrated last season just by the virtue of playing for a big club, but he's proven me completely wrong already.
He's been fantastic every time I've watched Man City this season.

He’s going to become world class.

I expected him to reach high standards. But even at his young age, he’s surpassing them.
To do what he done today in Liverpool’s back yard (regardless of their problems) is incredible.

We (England) have a genuine world class player on our hands and desperately need to build a team around him.

England now have some genuinely brilliant players. Thinking about our team now even compared with 2018 it shows how far youth development and coaching had come. Properly technically gifted players who can deal with the pace and physicality of the Premier League.

Investment in youth paid off massively for Germany, let’s hope we follow suit. It’s going to be exciting to watch his career progress. Also good to see Kane score on his return today, again another genuinely world class
English player.

Young Phil bears a remarkable resemblance to Lord Voldemort. Perhaps he was in Slytherin House at school.
Obviously where he gets his magic skill from.

I think comparisons with Iniesta are how he looks comfortable with the ball in the final third and the positions he takes up. His movements are 'Iniestaesque'.

I'm now in this conversation that's all too common with some friends about him V Grealish. It's like comparing Van Nistelrooy to Henry. Absolute school boy, fag packet footy chat.

I think Grealish would look greedy and out of sync at City, not sure he has the discipline to play Peps game. I also think Foden would be starved of the quality to get the best out of him if he was at Villa. They're two different footballers.

For England, Grealish for me, not because I think he's necessarily a better player but that we are sorely lacking in central midfield and our ball retention too often looks forced rather than natural. We need a ball carrier more than we need a Foden.

Then again I may be talking complete and utter tosh.

He's absolutely quality and Southgate is an idiot of he doesn't build the national team around him. England must play 4-3-3 and get Foden in the side.
