Partygate

Well, well, well... it seeks Sue Gray WAS pressured by No 10 to alter her report.

The Sunday Times are also saying they've WhatsApp messages proving Carrie had a different party in the flat with others that lard **** attended.

Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive...
Yes it’s rumoured the ABBA party on the 13/11 has been edited. As soon as I read i said stitch up

To be fair to sue gray it has been reported that she would not water the report down unless instructed to do so. Johnson is her boss and could demand that. That would be a risky approach for him though.

It seems she may have suffered with that MS word glitch. She apparently sent 90 pages to Johnson.
But that seems have shrunk to 30 pages on release.

This is funny. The 1922 Committee will be busy. The rules are so opaque and vague they will be looking at the dates the letters went in and seeing if people really mean it :ROFLMAO:

When we do get electoral reform, I really hope this sort of thing is put right. That rules and funding is so opaque and weird for one of our two major parties needs addressing. When you think of all the fuss the Tories made about Labour and Union funding, which led to Miliband making some big changes, while they were funnelling Russian money like they did, it's just one more example of them laughing at us and insisting on different rules for others to follow.

Today's reports regarding the Birthday Party in No.11 are yet another example of the incompetence and dishonesty that beats at the very heart of our Government, it echoes the hollowness of Johnson's repeated broken promises of taking responsibility and ownership of it, it shows Johnson's naivety as a strategist in believing that by sheer force of will he can make something disappear, he's the driver of a car hurtling towards the edge of a cliff maintaining he should continue to hold the wheel because he's got this far.

I'm led to believe the numbers are there, the delay is in making sure they can remove the head of the beast rather than just bloody its nose, they realise that they've really only got one shot at this and every day Johnson's lack of political prowess and inability to deal with leadership weakens his position, death of a thousand cuts, if you will.

And again this shows Johnson's lack of political savvy, if he was a smart, confident political operator he should have encouraged his supporters en masse to put in letters to the 1922 Committee as soon as the fixed Penalty Notice was given by the Police, not on the basis he had lost their confidence but on the rationale he was allowing his peers to judge him and his actions, he would have ridden that storm and neutered the position of Sunak as a possible successor, bought a year of stability and hoped his press team could deliver the water from the Styx to an electorate with notoriously short memories.
