Partygate

Almost as if that sort of ideology and those sorts of policies tend to only attract delusional, morally bankrupt idiots isn't it?
This is what I find so bizarre, how can anyone who is working class and has grown up in the last 50 years look at any of those cabal of evil Victorian/Dickensian lunatics and think 'they're getting my vote, they'll represent my ideals and interests to the best of their abilities'.

It is like voting for Harold Shipman to be put in charge of healthcare in a nursing home.

The mind boggles.

If he wins, which he probably will, I’m looking forward to the Mail and Express trying to paint it out like some glorious victory….
Whatever happens in the vote will lead to more short term pain for us all but also short, medium and even long term damage for the Conservatives. Which is great.
Hard to know which way I want the vote to go - Johnson inflicting more real damage on us and the Tory party or someone like that absolute empty balloon head Truss inflicting more damage on us and the Tory party?
Further short term pain ahead but ultimately sunnier days just beyond, surely?

For most people it's the power of propaganda I suppose.

And basically people not caring enough about politics (boring) and not paying enough attention.

I agree though. Just beggars belief. Particularly those who seem to hang on the every word of the likes of JRM, Farage and Trump.

If you were making a movie and wrote a character of a lying, duplicitous, incompetent politician, they would look and behave pretty much exactly like the above. Viewers would be in no doubt who the "baddies" were. Yet in the real world millions seemingly can't see through it. I don't get it.
