Surprised how few have Howson in our best 11. Him and Hackney still the best midfield pairing in the 4-2-3-1 in my opinion.
Regarding the 4 forwards, that’s a tricky one as McGree has to feature imo, and I like both Jones and Forss. And Crooks. Azaz and O’Brien haven’t featured enough yet to be able to say they are going to be out best options, but they probably will become them. Up top can’t pick between the pace and chaos of Lath or the hold up and strength of Josh. Again, they both need more games to nail down their definite starter status.
Basically, apart from the back 4 and Dieng, it’s still an evolving team.

( It also involved McNair frequently, but that's an elephant in the room )

the best individual 11 isn't the best team 11 , as per luton last year .

I do regret the scruff bit. Was uncalled for. I didn’t enjoy the start of the season and vented frustration in the wrong places clearly. Think most of the signings are doing alright and obviously the Rogers sale is a big plus for the recruitment side

I put O'Brien in purely because I think he's the better player. I think if I was picking a team for Sunday it would still be Howson/Hackney.
Tbh, with our squad I'm pretty happy whoever plays.

Yeah I’d play Howson on Saturday too but if I was picking a best eleven in general on paper I would go with a Hackney and O’Brien partnership. O’Brien will get his chance soon

There isn’t a chance in hell a Coburn misses squads unless injured. He’s a genuine striker presence. Would be a crazy nonsensical decision. Is he behind Lath? They’ve shared the load and both have games they will start. Both should be in every match day squad if fit and available

When he started , and looked actually match fit , we were on quite the roll this season in the league.

Lath is useless, I have been watching him very closely every game he’s played in, and that is my considered opinion, useless.

It's a tough one at RF. I like Jones. I just slightly prefer Forss for his goal threat.
I'd use Jones as an impact player at the back end of games and still give him plenty of minutes. Similarly use Crooks off the bench a lot like he did at the back end of last season.

Same goes for Thomas I'd say. However Thomas and O'brien are proven at this level or higher, so I can understand those.

Azaz it's way too early to say he goes in our best 11. He might, but currently I think he's benefitting from being a shiny new signing in some people's picks.
