North Macedonia v England - 7:45pm KO

Not sure what your problem with Sterling is. Just cos pep sold him doesn’t mean he’s *****. He’s in top form this season and I back him to continue to have a better season than Grealish. Like he has done so far
I don't have a problem with Sterling. He's just not good enough for England anymore.

Since being at Chelsea, he's done next to nothing of note.

His first goal in the league for Chelsea against a big club was last week, in over a year. He's had a small handful of good games this season. Luton at home, Burnley away, West Ham away and City at home...the rest he's largely been anonymous.

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make Chelsea's first 11 when Nkunku is fit. Front 3 could easily be Jackson, Nkunku, Palmer.

The last English player to win the award Bellingham just has was Sterling. He is a quality player. It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s back in the squad for Germany.
He will be. And if not he definetly will be back in if a new manager comes in after the tournament. He’s better than Grealish and Rashford.

Serves me right for thinking a Monday night international would be something worth looking forward to 🤣

Not sure about that at all. If Grealish and Rashford are good enough for England Sterling is more than good enough. He’s getting back to his best and there’s a long time between now and end of season. He will get himself back in.

By that I mean he missed having a direct left forward and signed one in Doku. Grealish is to safe.

I used to really rate Grealish but feel like he plays with in himself now.

Yeah I think Doku was signed as a Mahrez replacement… a direct pacey winger… but a bit of a one trick pony.

Grealish is more than that… he’s a more complete team player now, more like a Bernardo Silva than a Mahrez.

They talk about players like Silva having a “high press resistance” … ie you can give them the ball anywhere and they’ll either hold onto it or draw a foul. Grealish is like that.

Bernardo is a joy to watch.

He might well do. And if his performances improve then he might be on the plane.

I hope he does improve and impress between now and the end of the season, because at his best, he's better than Rashford IMO.

Massive confidence player.

He looks as good as Mbappe when he's firing, looks like aaron conolly when's he's off form.
Thing with Rashford is if he doesn’t score then he doesn’t really do much. He never been the most influential outside of goals. Not really a team player

These two matches have very much had the feeling of players doing as little as possible to get through, without injury, and get back to meaningful matches.

Awful matches to watch.
