I don't think we need a new striker if LL goes, last night proved we have one sat on the bench, bright, inventive, good movement, may I introduce Gilbert !

I know where you are coming from BUT if LL leaves we are losing THE best striker in this division. If we want to be promoted we will need another one in as his work rate and goals aren't replicated by others in the squad. Especially if Conway is out for 5-6 weeks.I don't think we need a new striker if LL goes, last night proved we have one sat on the bench, bright, inventive, good movement, may I introduce Gilbert !
You’d be happy if we sold Lath and closed the window without a new signing to replace him and went with Gilbert upfront? Genuinely…? That’s bonkers.I don't think we need a new striker if LL goes, last night proved we have one sat on the bench, bright, inventive, good movement, may I introduce Gilbert !

Very interesting opinionI think Gilbert could come in and do a good job yes
Gilbert has played as a CF at Brentford 2nds I think, his best position for me is as a 10, but he could plug a short term gap, if needed, as CF I guess.
Just so people are aware .. I may be fat and fifty but I haven't quite hung my boots up yet (can't bend down to fasten the laces though) .. but I once scored a hattrick for the Dog & Duck on a turd filled pitch down Port Clarence .. I'm not suggesting anything - just thought I'd throw it out there, ya know, if LL leaves ..
Am sure 25,000 at the Riverside could help out ..I think we can get you a game, but getting the pitch full of turds to help you get in the zone might be a challenge.
