Haha, is this for real? if so, it's pretty embarrassing.
It seems Middlesbrough Borough Council have to try and come up with a rebrand every two or three years. Waste a fortune on surveys and implementing the change and then do it all again a few years later and in the mean time nothing actually happens to improve the place.The coucil does normally engage with major outside marketing agencies etc.
They have had a long association with Wayne Hemmingway for instance.
In 2018 they launched Can Do Place Can Do People after work with Hemingway's agency - I declined to be on board after being invited to take part in that particular promotion.

It has successfully pulled us together in hatred of everything about it. Across races, creeds, political divides, I think we all agree it's a ball-achingly massive waste of money.I'm guessing some warped sense of civic pride, but as others have said they fall well short.
Why couldnt it be
"We are made from Steel"
" We are proud"
"We are welcoming"
"We are diverse"
All better than Parmo and chips in my humble opinion!
