Neil Warnock surpasses all my Expectations

I think its actually worth pointing out the similarities between AK and Warnock; both took over a team that shipped goals at wrong end of the table and tightened up the defence dramatically.

Both arguably had a similarly talented team both struggled to score goals. The biggest difference though is that Warnocks man-management seems infinitely better and I also think he'll work out the goal scoring problem too.

Given the huge improvement I wouldn't bet against Warnock surpassing AK's achievements here.

Definitely similarities. Both improved most players pretty quickly too.

AKs man management was good to a point. The team spirit we had the season we reached the play-off final is the best I've seen (till now). But I think Aitor's style only worked with certain personality types. If they were the right "type" eg Clayton, Friend, Leadbitter they loved him. Think others struggled a bit (Adomah, Downing).

Warnock on the other hand seems to be able to get on with and inspire pretty much everyone.

Total hypocrite😂

We were fourth at this stage under Pulis having scored 4 goals more, and you wanted him sacked.

“It couldn’t get any worse under Pulis” we finished 7th in his last season, which is where we are now😂😂😂
Pog ; you must agree it had a totally different feel about the place then versus now ? Neil Warnock is like a breath of fresh seaside air ; you must agree with that ?

I really like Warnock, I’ve wanted him as out manager for 10 years. I had no doubt he’d have us challenging for the play-offs.

There is a different feel about the club, and I’ll tell you what it is - it’s not having our miserable, brattish fans in the ground booing and heckling their own players.

The fans would have turned in the team in recent games with the current lack of goals, their absence has been a huge boost to Warnock and the players.

Agree

I know it couldn't get any worse than the tripe served up by Pulis & Woodgate, and I knew Warnock would improve us, but not to the extent of what he's done inside 5/6 months.

Our best manager by an absolute country mile since we parted ways with Karanka.

You can't tie Pulis in with Woodgate. At least the team had a structure and identify with Pulis. He also finished 6th and 7th. Woodgate would have relegated us

Exactly that, but he can’t bring himself to say Pulis was anything other than a 100% total disaster who ruined the club.

Wow

You can't help it can you? Like a dog with a bone.

You see Pulis getting slated and you're straight in there with your Pulis defence shield.

Wonder if you'll ever admit the fact Pulis failed?

One day you'll have to remove your Pulis poster from your bedroom wall. No doubt that will be a sad day.

Comparing Pulis with Warnock is like comparing apples with oranges. Completely different.

Warnock's record in this division is flawless and quite frankly he is a breath of fresh air compared to that charlatan.

But you said you wanted Pulis for god knows how many years?

Make your mind up.

And you call me a hypocrite?

What is Warnock’s team doing now that Pulis wasn’t?

woodgate laid the foundations.... warnocks just come in and grabbed the glory

but seriously, as an outsider, its incredible what organisation, man management, positivity & presumably hard work can achieve. wish I'd realised that 30 years ago!
I don’t think woodgate the foundations at all. He was building on sand. Woodgate was the worst manager we have ever had. I knew woodgate would be a car crash.

Woodgate will never manage again.

I do completely agree with your second paragraph Acklam.

What is Warnock’s team doing now that Pulis wasn’t?

Playing players in their natural positions.

Having a good balance.

Getting the best out of players.

Not being the most defensive team I have ever seen but still being fantastic defensively at the same time.

Not playing a 541 formation full of centre backs and centre midfielders.

shall I go on? Warnock ***** allover Pulis at everything

Pretty echo everything you just said.

I don't think POG see's this though.

Still has his Pulis blinkers on.

We’ve had loads of players out of position - McNair CB for most of the season, Spence and Coulson behind Assomablonga vs Brentford, Marvin Johnson playing everywhere.

We were the 4th lowest scoring team in the league until last night.

I really like Warnock, we should have got him 10 years ago so there’s no argument that he’s a quality manager. I was probably the happiest on here whilst he was appointed whilst many were moaning.

But there isn’t a big difference at all between what he and Pulis in have done when you look at results and performances.

People blamed Pulis for Britt being rubbish, he’s still rubbish.

People blamed Pulis for lack of goals, we still don’t score enough goals.

The biggest differences are the overpaid mercenaries are gone so we now have players who want to be here and are fans aren’t there to get on the team’s backs when they misplace a pass.

We had more goals, more points and were higher at this stage under Pulis.

You wanted him sacked, Warnock is a breath of fresh air.

Explain that one?

The sheer justification you put out there on Pulis is staggering.

Are you married to him or something?

You can't just admit Pulis was the wrong manager, he got big decisions wrong, he wasted a bucket load of money, signed the wrong players and wrong types of players.

And ultimately failed.

Block has already pointed out the main changes.

Even when it comes to the small things like the press conferences and post match interviews. Warnock just offers so much more than that previous dullard.

Apples & Oranges

I was kidding. Woody was useless.

and I’ve just detailed why the reasons he’s given don’t stand up to basic scrutiny.

So once all the nonsense is stripped away what you’re left with is you like his press conferences and post match interviews.

That’s the new standard for why a manager should be sacked or not.

It’s not a case of having any particular love for Pulis it’s just when people like yourself start spouting absolute nonsense on how he was a disaster/didn’t do anything good/ruined the club in every conceivable way, that I find it hilarious and incredibly easy to tie them in cyber pretzels by simply pointing out simple facts and how ridiculous their hyperbole is.
