Mogga sacked

It’s an impatient game these days. They’ve imploded since they lost to us and looked awful whenever I’ve caught them and while that was only two months ago you don’t get allowed a long bad run these days. It’s not as off the wall as all that by modern standards. Gets the replacement in for the January window too.

‪3 points off the play-offs. Makes you wonder what exactly their expectations are.‬
There are plenty on here who insist that we should not settle for sitting about 30th in the English league system, and will slate Gibson for the fact that we have done so over the last 10 years, on the basis that historically for all time seasons in the top flight we rank at 20. They rank at 10. Maybe they aspire to finishing higher than 30th as well.

There seems to be a few of them alluding to it being a French bloke lined up. Not that I care.

Glad Tony is out of there.

someone deffo lined up ... think Mogga was expecting in before the season starts but played along , not causing any ripples and prob get a decent pay off ... win-win Memory of his tenure ,,,, 0-4..... nuff said Agent Mowbray

Let’s face it. Sunderland have overachieved since Tony took over. He even had the Boro supporters worried that they might go from Division One to the Premier League last year. Nobody fancied playing them in the Playoffs. Since then they have lost Ross Stewart and brought nobody in. They are expecting miracles. Unfortunately Jesus Christ is not a Football Manager. Hopefully Neil Warnock will be called for at Easter when they are in the relegation zone. (y)

The owners have been itching to remove Mowbray since they got involved. Not a glamorous enough name for them. It’s a bizarre decision and certainly not based on footballing merit.

Getting the Mackems to the playoffs last season and competing for them again this season is good going.

I see their deluded minds want Graham Potter 😂😂

As if, yeah we’re all sure he’d want to break his huge Chelsea compo to have a team of kids, no money to spend, very little say in signings and have his best players sold and not replaced. 🤣

Wonder who the French coach is that’s been mentioned though 🤔

They never deserved him. A mackem friend seems to think they have a plan and because the guy they wanted to replace him with last year now has Nice in second place they are in good hands. When I pointed out that he has spent £40m to get them there, in a pi55 poor league he just looked blank.

It sounds to as though Mogga has been sacked for complaining about the lack of investment in experienced players, not because the board wanted someone more ambitious. Quite the opposite.

They seem to want to heavily focus on youth, for development and resale. Something more sustainable and long term. Mogga has stated he can’t win enough games, to go up, with a squad of hopefuls.

Just not paddling in the same direction, maybe…

Reading their board is like de ja vu on here when we binned wilder
Yes. i thought that too. Personally not that invested in the story - a shrug of the shoulders. Am sure another club will come knocking for TM before the seasons out.

They might be hoping for some geezer called Potter, who can teach them how to make red and white striped mugs.
More chance of Harry Potter…

I wonder if Mogga still has the appetite to take another managerial role. He's been doing it 20 years now. Must be starting to get worn out from it.
