contract was probably too big for a champo side to take him on full time. Last year now so he'll be a more reasonable wageWhy not get rid then
Ffs
Hopefully that's wrong.
Plan C?
Hopefully that's wrong.
As Charlie Brown might say Oh good grief
Hopefully that's wrong.
We are the masters of prevarication- it would be lovely to see us swoop and sign a proper top quality target instead of constantly being linked with players we all like the look of who then immediately sign for a rival
Brighton are looking for a new centre back but it won’t be Fry apparently.I reckon 2-3 mill and he’s ours. Interestingly, Chelsea are getting linked with Adam Webster from Brighton In the daily mail so maybe Brighton could show an interest in Fry and a deal could be done between ourselves and Brighton with the deals interlinked. Just a thought, anyway
Are Stoke really a richer club? Surely the parachute payments have run out now. They possibly still have large contracts and amortisations on the books as well. Boro have cleared the decks and raised at least £20m through sales and have made a lot of space on the wage bill.To be fair, Stoke have been publicly linked with him since the 4th of August, it's not like their interest has came out of the blue to gazzump us.
It's not done yet, hopefully we can increase our offer to beat them in the race.
It's a tough ask, Stoke are a richer club, but at least their league position is scarcely better than ours and they've played worse than us.

If Boro want to go up, these are the sorts of deals they NEED to be completing IMO.
Isn’t that almost irrelevant within the constraints of FFP? Unless they’re doing some ‘creative’ accounting.Their owners are billionaires, ours is only a millionaire.
