Matt Clarke

Yes left footed, remember him playing for Derby a couple seasons ago, has a lot of Championship experience.

What is the source of the link?

Good player, can play a bit from what I remember, although he's not the quickest either.

Would definitely be an improvement though.

He got Supporters Player of the Year last season.

29 appearances.

Only 25 years old.

12 months left on his deal at the Amex.
Doesn't look like he even makes the squad for Brighton, and hadn't since he signed from Pompey. He was at WBA last year and Derby year before, wonder why he never went back?

I've never heard of him, but with 12 months left and not making the squad I can imagine he's going to be cheap, and probably up for a move.

He’s won a couple player of the year awards, great age, good experience, left footed, comfortable on the ball, never gonna play for Brighton and has a year left on his contract it makes perfect sense. Surprised it’s took this long for the link to be honest as it’s a great signing and won’t cost as much as Greaves would of and leaves us with more cash for that final striker

I have also never heard of him. We're after a LCB who can play a bit and get forward with the ball though. Does he fit there or is he just a left footed version of Fry & Lenihan? If he is he might be the Fry replacement rather than the LCB we're after.

Seems weird for there to be a player that has played so many games at our level that so many people haven't heard of. That means they probably don't stand out for bad reasons at least.

He's been on loan it looks like for most the time since he joined them, must have been doing something right as got plenty of fans time. He was signed from Portsmouth so maybe developmental at the time and they've moved on

He’s a very good player I think most people probably have heard of him

Me neither, not heard of him either

I believe he's been player of the year for the last 3 seasons at his respective club.
