We also had an Argentinian RB for a season, Gustavo Lombardi, that never got on the pitch. Yet he won a couple of Argentinian titles and played twice for the national team after he left us.

I think I read a while back that he struggled with fitness, i.e. struggled to last 90 mins and not through lack of training so some physiological problem? Which might be why he never really kicked on despite the talent.

Used to go watch the reserves when him and Wildschutt were playing. They just ran things between them. Great to watch.
 
Of course there are loads of examples of Youtube fairytales, but he looks exciting to me. He runs at people and thinks forward. I hope he joins and is a massive success.

I Reccomended Ledesma 2011/2012 season to Boro after he came on for Wallsall v Hartlepool and scored 1 made 2 to win the game 5-2 .He was OOC at the end of that season and they were playing him sporadically to keep him out of the spotlight . Played 34 minutes and won MOTM.We watched him and then signed him . Good free transfer at the time , I’m glad they listened .

He did his cruciate just after he signed for us, and was released when his contract expired before he recovered.

IF we have agreed a deal the money must also be there now, only the Saville sale is set to happen of those 4 though, you cant agree deals without certainty the money is there at the time. Wing, Akpomb and Spence are mere reported newspaper links. Anyway, Rafa is now at Everton, I doubt he would want a wing back that wont take a man on or put in a cross, preferring to get caught in possession instead.
 
Maybe Gibson is thinking I might aswell do what I like with my money and bring in the next South American wonder kid since every body else does what ever they want regarding the FFP
