Just after 7...... no new signings......

A complete waste of a season then. We will sell Hackney in the summer get half the recruits we need for next season sell in jan again rinse and repeat. Carrick will get pîssed off and leave if we persist in cashing in on players and reinvesting half heartedly.
Blackburn just sold their best player, that's what teams in the lower divisions have to do to survive, we don't have a bottomless pit...

It's not a complete waste of time, last January, Archer on loan followed by Ramsay on deadline day, only for them both to leave in the summer, and we had to start again. that was a waste of time.

i'm sure Carrick and the club , will have targets, but will wait until the summer when deals are easier to get over the line.

Boro were desperate for full backs and now those positions are looking very strong again.

Certainly looks like Azaz is a replacement for Rogers doing so while making money.

If nothing happens, we still have good options in the forward position:

LF - McGree, Greenwood
CAM - Azaz, Crooks, Greenwood, McGree
RF - Jones, Forss, McGree
CF - Latte Lath, Coburn, Greenwood

Ideally we need another CF but not if the player and deal isn’t right for the club and team.

The squads worse than last season and i expect it to be worse next season when Hackney and mcgree are sold

Its an illusion we are building a squad good enough to get promoted

I think we are doing ok. Morgan was a great bit of business and Azaz promises to be a good signing.
We have been crippled with injuries so we cant just keep adding strikers every window.

Really, I would love to see Forss given 5-10 matches up front on his own. I have always liked him and think he could be the man instead of playing him out wide. His finishing is certainly there, we know that.

We were light with strikers in the summer to not address it in the window is frankly ridiculous. Not a chance of making the playoffs now. Not fair on coburn to play through injury either

Carrick has said recently that he thinks Forss could definitely play up top for us.

Think it’s just unfortunate that as he’s finally got fit, Jones has got injured, so he’s needed on the RW

That in itself is a problem,
Your best finisher is your 2nd best right forward

We've came out of the window better equipped for the run in than we went into it.

I'm pretty happy with the January business.

Obviously a striker would have been nice but we've seemingly improved both full back positions and that is a big plus in my opinion.

Rogers out, Azaz in. Hopefully is pretty much like for like.

Not sure what people were expecting?

If we don't sign anyone tonight, perhaps that is just being realistic? Despite the fag-packet-managers shouting we have £10mill in the bank so let's blow it all on <insert name here> I'd rather we didn't. We are mid table, we've got an outside chance of making the playoffs and if we do the very real probability that we will be facing two of Leeds, Ipswich and Southampton for a less than one in four chance of promotion. We only get to spend the Morgan money once like that or we can continue to build a squad that can make a real push for promotion and maintain that push for several seasons (with or without Carrick - preferably with). On the plus side we are entertaining to watch, we play an entertaining style of football and we are pulling good crowds to watch us.

Oh and no VAR because VAR is shidt.
